Being a gamer and a ... well I'm like a nerd ... sort of ... I guess, but not, I'm too emotionally driven to be a nerd yet too rationally driven to be an idiot. I'm sort of in between a non-group and nerd.

So, stereotypes:
1. Fat, pimpled, live off softdrinks (Okay, so I get some pimples, but not the other stuff, so that's a major dislike)
2. Arrogant prick (superiority complex?). (I'm not arrogant though my poor social skills and my habit of thinking too much when I really should be paying attention make me come off as arrogant, so this is a major dislike)
3. Computer-savvy (I'm not, but I don't mind this one, I'm more of a english/philosophy/politics/maths kind of person than a technology one).
4. Is prepared for the zombie apocalypse(?). Actually, that'd mean I'd probably have swords and bows and stuff, which would be awesome, so I'm putting this down as a like.
5. My 'weird' bit (the stuff that isn't nerd or gamer) doesn't so much have 'stereotypes' as 'misconceptions', such as that I'm apparently gay, bi, straight and asexual, depending upon the mood of the person deciding at the time.

I'm a white male of average height and weight. Is there a stereotype about me? :p

As an introvert, though, the best I heard was from a friend who told me that when he first met me, he thought I was "kinda smug". Which is true. I *am* better than a lot of people! I just don't feel the need to tell them I feel that way...

Also, that I'm a violent youth, who's a bad influence on younger children. (One of my friends moms thought this, because I and said friend were talking about various kinds of murder).
From now on I will call you assef.

You should read The Kite Runner, or watch the movie, because there is a Muslim Nazi in it.
Assef... I like that name. I'm definietly gonna try and rent/buy the movie now.
Little warning, The Nazi Muslim sodomizes a little Hazara boy.

On the internet, if I mention that I'm an Australian woman, people automatically think I'm extra hot.

It's kind of nice, even though I know they'd be disappointed if they saw me. I'm pretty, but not in the toned, tanned surfie-chick way that "Neighbours" and "Home and Away" would have you believe...

People assume that I'm agressive and mean due to my appearence(6,4" tall metalhead, somewhat muscular build), so they tend to be slightly scared of me. It's not the case though, I'm as kind and insecure as you can get. I used to be cocky as hell before social phobia hit me however.

Being mexican the stereotypes that I like is the hats, you know the sombreros I actually like that (don't tell the other mexicans they may kill me) and also that people seem to think that we are some sort of cowboys that live in small towns in the desert, that last one is not so much that I like it I just find it ridiculously amusing, being that Mexico has one of the biggest cities in the world and that most of Mexico is not even desert, it seems like most people think that all of mexico looks like Sonora and Baja California, seriously come visit this country is amazing!

Being black means:

1)Piss me off, and I can and will beat you into the ground-

I like this because it keeps the crazies away, but it hurts when certain people handle you like a bomb during convos. Especially during English class and the book is on slavery.

Trust me people. I care/know about the topic as much as you do. The black power thing ended before my time. I'm not much for revolutions and I promise I won't attack unless given proper provocation.

2) I'm poor and only got into my school because someone paid me for it.

Free help is always good.

*HUUBLAAAAARG* That sounds... I think I like "Assef" a little less now, if it's the name of Mr. Muslim Nazi...

It is. I guess you could call him the main antagonist in the book.

I am a Pakistani/Indian Muslim. Well the stereotype for Indian/Pakistani people is that we are smart, especially in math, and we like spicy stuff; I can appreciate both since I am an accounting major and I love spicy food (mmmmm curry).

Hmmmm...

Artist pretty-boy...

I guess people might think I'm bi and super sensitive (neither of which are true) and that I write poetry non-stop about my feelings... I do write poetry, but NOT about my feelings :)

Hmmmm, I guess I don't mind the being viewed as romantic, that's pretty good, because I am pretty romantic... But I'm not quiet and socially awkward as some seem to think.

I dunno, it's mostly a win, but a bit of loss too. I can deal with that :)

Skinny, sleep deprived artist working on computer.

All the stereotypes under the 'bow, man.

The good thing about it is I can play on any particulars I want to.

I'm overweight and awkward at parties and things like that. I'm the token fat chick. I have done a LOT to change that, I'm not NEARLY as big as I used to be, but no one here in college saw me before.

I just hate it because...I do and have done a lot of interesting things in my life. I rock climb almost every day, I'm a certified SCUBA diver (not that unusual I know), and I'm a Tall Ship sailor. I'm also a filmmaker and musician (go banjo!)

Oops, crap, sorry this was about stereotypes we like.

I guess people know me as the water kid and I like that. They know I love diving, sailing and fish. I can live with that.

Its hard to say without ruining it, it starts out in the pre-russian invasion of afganistan, A kid named Amir has a servant called Hassan, Amir views Hassan as a friend more then a servant, this angers Assef who is the town bully, eventually Assef views Amirs friendship with Hassan as a insult towards there race, because Hazaras are viewed as the lesser race, it gets to a point where Hassan gets sodomized in the defense of Amir. Trying not to spoil anything Amir and his father are forced to leave during the russian evasion and eventually Amir is asked to go back during the time when Al Queda controlled the country.
