1. xenophobic, posh British guy: YES I am from England, and YES I do unfortunately have somewhat of a 'refined' accent. but i'm not middle class, i don't look down on foreigners with disgust, and i don't sit around sipping tea and listening to Bach while reading Shakespeare!

2. camp homosexual: again, yes I am gay. Yes I'm kind of short, kind of slim, dress quite good and have been known to openly indulge my feminine side. I'm not camp though! I hate when people can't see the difference between 'slightly feminine' and 'camp'.

3. dumb-ass wrestling fan: I like wrestling, yes. I love it, in fact. But I am perfectly aware that it is a faked thing. I don't need slack dumb-asses reminding me "you know it's all fake right?" whenever I happen to mention I like it. I know it's fake, it doesn't stop me enjoying it, just like you knowing movies are fake but you still enjoy them.

4. stuck up, full-of-himself artist: This is one that really pisses me off. Just because I like to draw, and paint, and sculpt, and whatever else...this doesn't make me some snooty self-aggrandizing fuck who looks down on people for not going to galleries and stuff. Some people like art, some people don't. i'm not going to look down on you for not liking it. I don't much like it myself a lot of the time. Going to galleries to listen to or read about the ACTUAL self-aggrandizing fucks who dominate mainstream art is one activity that makes me want to hang myself. I don't care about 'deeper meanings' behind anything, I just like making stuff. It makes me feel good to create something, and if it turns out good, so much the better.

5. socially retarded gamer: I like to play video games, yes. It doesn't mean I use games as a distraction to utterly forsake physical interaction with other members of my species. I'm maybe not the most social person in the world, but I don't sit at home in a dark basement all day on Call of Duty, obsessing over 'pwning noobz'.

6. snooty brainiac: This one comes from the fact that I read books. Yes, I like to read. Sue me. I know in today's current culture that must seem like an insane thing to do, but I can't help it, I just enjoy reading. Leave me alone for it!

I have red hair, and everyone assumes I burn easily in the sun. This is drives me nuts, as I am farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr more tanned than most of my friends, I am in fact the third most tanned member of my friends group (after the asian and the greek, who I maintain are cheating anyway).

Genetics nerd section: The gene for red hair is actually on a different chromosome to the gene for pale skin, they are just USUALLY inherited together due to red haired people having slight assortative mating for other red heads (partially due to geographic reasons).

The "fat stupid american"

I'm a 6'4" tall and 160lbs so I'm not fat. And I'm 3 years into a bathclor's degree at a competitive college. While I am american, I take great joy in researching topics my friends post up and correcting them on things like the healthcare debacle or what have you.

I'm a devoted Christian, and also extremely left wing.

I get to feel simultaneously insulted and embarrassed by both Conservapedia, and RationalWiki.

Haha I very rarely get stereotyped- the only time Ive ever been aware of it was when a friend of a friend (with a big working class fetish) reached the conclusion that because of my accent, dress sense, ability to talk knowledgeably about literature and my place of birth that I must be a stuck up, middle class torie.
The look in his face when he learn that I lived in a council house and came from a poor family was hilarious, expecially as we were in his dads brand spanking new Austin at the the time.

Every single English stereotype that comes from America. They aren't true guys...
So we didn't whoop your ass in the 1700's and save said ass in the 1940's?
I was talking individually, such as bad teeth, bad sex, bad food. Seeing as you mention it however, you didn't, no.

In the war of independence, it was mainly France and Spain, your allies and our enemies, who "whuppped" us, and the Russians defeated Germany in WW2. Cheers for your assistance there though.

Scottish: Just because I'm Scottish and have a scottish accent people assume that I constantly wear a kilt, play the bagpipes, hate the english and Drink lot's of whiskey (I live in australia).

Person: Hey you're scottish aren't you?
Me: Yeah
Person: so did you have to learn english to come to Australia?
Me: *SIGH*

Also just because I'm not an Australian citizen yet people assume I came here Illegally and they seem to just exclude me from everything.

England has better dental hygiene than America, and the majority of Europe.
Also, I don't like tea.

I hate that people think all gifted kids must be good at maths. I tell them I am gifted, the first thing they do is give me some crazy maths question, and when I can't answer (because I suck at maths) they assume I was lying about being gifted and laugh it me.
It happens ALL THE FUCKING TIME. What is it with people?

I hate it when people assume that I am racist because I am white. I hate this because the reality is that everybody is racist to some degree, but I never try to be intentionally racist to others.
