Really? Despite his revolutionary work on digital media market?EverythingIncredible said:You know what's sad? He's going to be remembered for the iPhone/iPod.
Brilliant and it brings a tear to my eyes. He was a true visionary and a model to follow. What more to say than that a great man has passed and anyone who pretends to be uncaring just deserves that treatment when they themselves are pushing up the daisies.fordneagles said:![]()
A small tribute that has been simply titled "Thanks Steve"
I think it's interesting to note that most comments in this thread begin with "I don't like Apple" or something similar. I can't tell you how impressed I was to read, up until this post, people remain mostly respectful. Steve Jobs isn't just defined by what you choose or choose not to buy, he was also family and friend to many, as well as a human being. I don't mean to sound trite or sappy by saying such, just, please, a man died.Kysafen said:iDon'tgiveafuck®

Seriously? Well that's...pretty damn lame. So what did he do?somonels said:He didn't make anything, he bought the tech.Cowabungaa said:He did make the first commercial GUI-interface, that was innovative.
And I don't mean to intrude on your grief, but people die everyday. Don't know how may died even as I type this.Mike Kayatta said:I think it's interesting to note that most comments in this thread begin with "I don't like Apple" or something similar. If Apple didn't existed Bill Gates, without string competence, would be our one and only emperor. Windows wouldn't be half of good looking (it isn't as good looking as Mac OS now). And mobile devices wouldn't be so popular.Kysafen said:iDon'tgiveafuck®
I didn't personally know him, nor am I draped in black or crying today. I simply point out that, while yes, people die everyday, let's not be callous about it for the sake of being callous.Giest4life said:And I don't mean to intrude on your grief, but people die everyday. OT: He died doing what he loved--almost--till the very end. Ain't exactly a bad way to go, is it?
What difference does it make? The guy's legacy is nothing more than creating user friendly systems, however people don't seem to care that he has also made all of these systems extremely closed and controlled to the point Apple can simply decide they don't like a certain program and remove it from not only their network and servers, but literally clean it from your harddrive.Mike Kayatta said:I didn't personally know him, nor am I draped in black or crying today. Not liking him, nor thinking his innovations were unimportant isn't callous. Arbitrarily writing "iDontgiveafuck" like a smart ass in response to the announcement of someone's death is. And that's what started this discussion.BoTTeNBReKeR said:What difference does it make? To me, that really isn't someone I would mourn about. Call me callous, call me a dick, I won't miss his "innovation" in this world.
