Mountain Dew Code Red.
Australia doesn't get any flavoured Mountain Dew. In fact, until recently (2/3 years) Mountain Dew wasn't even caffeinated here. In 2013, we got Code Red (a berry flavoured one like New Zealand, not cherry), but only for a limited time. It was pretty good. Now I can go to an import shop for some cans of Code Red (the cherry one), White Out and a few others, but they're $2 for a 12 fl oz can.

The day Taco Bell removed Volcano Burritos for me will forever be a sad one.

Ya know what I really miss sometimes? Block Buster. I miss walking into a physical store and seeing all the tapes/games lined up on the wall.
I miss Volcano Burritos...and the Chicken Flatbread sandwiches they had for a while too...As for Blockbuster; that was my favorite retail place to work. Incidentally, that's where I bought my Wonka Bars!

I can find 20oz bottles of Vanilla Coke in gas stations (your Race Tracks, your 7-11's, your Wa-Wa's) and I've found some 12-packs in grocery stores like Publix and...Either Safeway or Superfresh.

See above; I've found cans in Gas Stations but that's about it...and they're the weird long cans like what you get with Monster...I'd really like to find a bottle instead.

Also literally the day after I managed to find a 7-11 and buy some Soda Shaq, they discontinued it. I'm never even going to open them, I don't like cream sodas. I just wanted some soda cans with Shaquille O'neil's disembodied head making funny faces.
7-11 doesn't exist in the state of Georgia. Racetrack and Quicktrip are fine but they're just not 7-11.

It was really fun and I think part of why I enjoyed that was the fact that I hadn't really gotten into similar spectacle fighters like God of War or Devil May Cry.

Ya know what I don't usually like? Grape flavored anything. If it wasn't for an allergy, I'd eat grapes a lot more but artificial grape flavorings almost always have a horrible chalky aftertaste. It's almost as bad as the artificial smoky-flavor you get with jelly-beans flavored like bacon or spagetti. Anyway, there was one grape soda that didn't have that awful chalky aftertaste; Mountain Dew: Pitch Black. The second version was pretty good too but it just doesn't stick around when it comes back! Aside from Pitch Black, I really enjoyed the other limited flavors of Mountain Dew too; Livewire, Supernova, Typhoon, the various and seemingly nuanced Gamer Fuels...I would gladly trade away Code Red for some of those to come back.

Where? Other guy said gas stations. I've looked in convenience and grocery stores and such with no luck.

You may be one of these consumers:

If so get used to having things you like disappear from the market.

Mountain Dew Livewire. Used to be a summer flavor but the last I saw of it was in 2003 I believe. It was the second best flavor I've had after original, although I do admit to quite liking the 7-11 exclusive Solar Flare, which is kind of like a tropical punch Dew.

Gah! I still have to figure out a place where I can Fentiman's Cherry Tree Cola. Good stuff.

OT: Most limited runs of V. Purple Plasma and Cherry was fucking amazing.
Am...I missing something? I have two cases of each sitting in my garage right now that I purchased just yesterday. I even grabbed a bottle of
while I was at the pharmacy picking up my prescrips this afternoon...

Admittedly, I almost didn't buy the bottle. I saw

And now I feel doubly bad as the vending machines at my workplace have Livewire and other Dew flavors stocked every week...

I can think of a LOT of things that I loved that were discontinued; both of the edible and non-edible variety. However, two specific things spring immediately to mind.

The first was these things called Spicy Green Beans. They were an appetizer from a local, small Italian restaurant. The place wasn't really a '5 star' establishment, but it did have a waiting list and high prices. (and damned good food) The Spicy Green Beans were just immaculate. Just the right amount of burn and the crusty coating the chef used was to die for. I ordered two plates whenever I went. One to eat before dinner and one to take home.

But, sadly, the owner/head-chef retired and sold the ownership to someone else. The new owner changed the recipe slightly (or just can't do it justice) and the Beans just don't taste the same. They're slightly bland and barely have any burn.

I was so bummed I've only been back to the place a handful of times since.

The second thing is Sprite Cranberry. It is, putting it simply, an amazing drink. The flavor is sublime and it makes for a perfect companion or addition to mix drinks.

Sadly, Coca-Cola is only doing a limited run for the holidays. Now that the new year has started they'll be discontinuing the line.

The bastards...

The main problem is, in the United States, many of these things are produced at regional plants. As such, they are available only in specific regions and if you don't happen to be in one of those regions. . . . too damn bad for you.

OT: I know they're still available, but the local stores just don't carry them any more. Little Debbie Devil Squares. I love them and miss them. COME BACK TO ME!!!!!!!

A year ago, I would've said "where's my Ecto Cooler?", and I suppose I just did, but a few friends and I managed to recreate it since (to those who don't know: it was a variety of Hi-C (juiced up Kool-aid) that for some reason was marketed as a tie-in with the Ghostbusters movie and The Real Ghostbusters cartoon, but continued until 2007 before being discontinued, possibly because ghosts have nothing whatsoever to do with orange-tangerine lemonade), and this leads into my point: reverse engineering. Obviously, some things it won't work for, and some are too difficult or expensive to figure out. But it doesn't matter if the company stops making it if you can create it yourself- and your fellow [thing] lovers will praise you to the skies for it, too.

Regionally produced products are lame...regional fast food places are also really lame. I knew when I left Maryland that I wouldn't be able to eat at Roy Rogers anymore (if you're in the DC area or bits of northern VA, bits of MD, look it up; it's good fast food) but I wasn't expecting to be in a state that didn't have 7-11. Sonic isn't nearly as good as I thought it would be but Bojangles is alright. Stupid region...restrictions.

Chorizo as a filling at MedMex (Australian Taco Bell rip-off) - plus pretty much every foodstuff from the UK since emigrating to Aus.

Fish & Chips just doesn't taste the same, I lived in Bradford where curry was an award winning art form and not just varying shades of brown slush, even a simple char siu fried rice from the evidently Chinese people at the Chinese takeaway was better back in Blightly than a similar char siu fried rice from similarly evidently Chinese people at the Chinese takeaways here (I say evidently Chinese, as they speak Cantonese to each other once they've taken the order) - I mean, I know China's a large place and regional variations must apply but surely the consistency in the UK and disparage in Aus (which has similar consistency between restaurants) can't be the reason?

Also, prawn cocktail crisps - I mean, wtf Australia!

Frank's Franks Frankfurter's what Americans would call a hot dog i think basically a red boiled sausage in a split long roll with various condiments on top Franks had the best brand out there until they were discontinued a couple of years ago for some unfathomable reason the other brand's just don't hold a candle to Franks

Also Rollo's it was sort of a round chocolate bar that was segmented into truncated cones and each one was filled with caramel cant find them anywhere though i heard one can get them from UK food import wholesalers

damn this thread is making me hungry

At least they are aware that Teen Titans Go is complete garbage compared to the original. Really the only thing going in it's favor is that(as far as I know) they got all the original voice actors to reprise their roles.

You're probably better off with the cherry Coke. Coke Life is okay, but only okay.

Well sure, granted, but I didn't think Vanilla and Cherry Coke were that uncommon.

Oh? Too sweet? Too bland? I saw it had "made with cane sugar and other natural ingredients" as a selling point. Is it just not up to snuff when compared to Coke Classic?

Shame it's only okay. The world could use healthier soft drinks. (or more tasty, easier alternatives)

Yes. Yes they are. But I would argue that seasonally produced products are worse.

Please don't take away my Sprite Cranberry, Coca-Cola. :(

This too, though I do enjoy Sonic's drink selection. (and pretty much ONLY their drink selection)

Same goes for good regional super markets and mini-marts. Traveling out of state I always immediately miss Rutters, Turkey Hills, Royal Farms, Sheetz, and Wegmans.

Bland would probably be the closer word for it. It definitely isn't as good as classic Coke, though when half of what it's sweetened with is a sugar substitute(or whatever the hell Stevia actually is) I don't expect great things.
