The whole "Terminator" arguement comes to mind with time travel.
For those unfamiliar, no matter how much time travelling and destroying of the machine army's original system (prior to it becoming aware) it still did. First through a primative robotics factory, then an advanced cybernetics company, and then the US military.

If not Hitler, then any of his other generals could have done it, or Joseph Stalin, or Musolini, or any number of leader-turned-dictators.

Nope, world war 2 led to some remarkable technology you stop that you set us back a few decades.

Is technology worth the vast number of human lives that were taken? 11 million (6 million of which were Jews) perished at the hands of the Nazis. Not to mention, the allied soldiers who died in combat. It is unfortunate that the many plots to assassinate Hitler failed. I recently bought Valkyrie off of Amazon, which for those of you who are unaware is a film about a real-life plot to assassinate Hitler led by Claus von Stauffenberg, and was thrilled with the film. The story is really compelling, the supporting cast is excellent and, given my prior knowledge and distaste for Hollywood films, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is relatively historically accurate. but yea, i wouldn't go back in time to kill hitler, just for the fact that if it wasn't him, then who would of come to power in germany? I know its kind of a shitty viewpoint, but because of Stalingrad, the U.S.S.R. quickly became the most fiercest fighting machine seen by man [you heard me right you marine's]. also, lets look at the after effects of WWII, had hitler never came to power, would Israel be a country today, or would Palistine still be as large as is was post '47?

ahh yes but i would like to point out i fucking hate isreal.
i wouldn't kill hitler that would be dumb mainly because i would fade out of existence as soon as i did it.
