Name: Alex Jones
Age: 23
Appearance: At 5'11'' Alex is slightly taller than average. His skin is pale, but not in a way that amkes him look sickly, more in line with the normal skin colour of northern Europe. He has a shock of untidy brown hair and some facial stubble. His eyes are a deep green colour. Physically, Alex isn't the most imposing figure. He has the expected build of somebody who moderately exercises, in that he is neither overly muscular nor a lazy slob. he tends to dress in jeans, with a plain black t-shirt and a grey blazer.
Power: Alex has the ability of ferrokinesis; he can mentally manipulate any metal, causing it to move, reshape or magnetise as he wishes. He can also generate magnetic fields, creating a point that magnetic objects will be drawn to. Lastly, he can create electromagnetic pulses, rendering any unprotected electrical devices in the affected area useless. The upper limits of his power are completely unknown.
Looks good. As a good friend of mine pointed out, ferrokeneses is control over iron, but I'll allow you metal-manipulation in general

Name: CJ

Age: 21

Appearance: CJ stands at about 6'1" with a slight build that comes naturally. He has medium brown skin and pitch black dreads which fall to his shoulders. His eyes are dark brown but is rarely seen with his sunglasses on. He also wears a white forehead wrap to hide an old scar and usually wears some mixture of black and blue.

Power: Duplication. CJ can duplicate anything in the physical world. If he can touch it he can make a copy of it. Each clone is an exact replica of the orginal complete with any past memories or experiences that the original had. Each clone however can only live for 30 mins before it turns to smoke. He also retains any memories that new clones have experienced in its lifetime.

Bio: CJ had always dreamed of being a super. Despite his lack of powers, he vehemontly opposed all of the anti-super propaganda. He followed any rumors he heard regarding supers and eventually found himself in Ubris. No matter what it took, he wanted to be a part of the supers. Little did he know, his dream was becoming reality.

EDIT: gave a slightly more detailed appearance

Good to see you here, Scythe. :) Working on a sheet too. If it isn't up later tonight, it might not be until Friday night/Saturday, since driving home from university takes hours of delicious highway jams.

Mmm... jams...

Kind of funny when I was reading the first post I was like 'Hey awesome superpower rp. I guess I'll make a jumper.', after reading few more posts 'Ah well, no worries. I'll make some sort of metal morphing guy.' and then finally 'GET OUT OF MY HEEEEAD!'

Name: Dyme Allesandros

Age: 19

Appearance: Tall-ish, and rather gangly, with a youthful innocence to his eyes. Has brown hair down to his shoulders, and wears a blue checked shirt over a lighter blue t-shirt. Has a small silver wristwatch on his left hand.

Biography: Throughout his life, Dyme had two major passions: music and superhero culture. He had looked up to 3W and the like ever since they had appeared on the scene, and wanted nothing more than to be like them. He'd spend hours a day imagining spending time and having adventures with a team of Supers, and was often quite "out of it", off in his own little fantasies and paying little attention to the world around him. This harmless pastime eventually came to bite him in the ass, when he managed to get himself cornered down a dark alley by two gentlemen of... shall we say, questionable interests. Fearing for his life, Dyme shied back until he had no-where left to go, and prayed for ThreeWords to swoop down and save him...
With these thoughts completely filling his head, leaving almost no room for fear or rationality, Dyme was quite shocked when his power suddenly and without warning manifested in the form of his awesome guitar, appearing in a flash of purple flame in his hand. Through no conscious decision of his own, Dyme smacked one of the gentlemen across the face before hopping over his inert body and sprinting away.
Dyme had never really had much of a home, and so he spent most of his time simply travelling around, working up the cash to sustain himself by performing in public. When he heard a rumour that a lot of Supers were making their way to a city in the desert; quicker than you could say "plucky, lighthearted and oh-so-breakable comic relief" Dyme hopped on a train bound to Ubris, hoping to meet others like him and maybe get them to sign some of his stuff.

Ability: Dyme's powers are directly related to "aspiration"; the one thing he desires most in the world will become his. Since, for his whole life, Dyme had wanted to be a superhero just like ThreeWords, then in a time of extreme stress, these abilities manifested themselves and he became a Super, even going so far as to develop abilities very similar to those of ThreeWords. While these powers could potentially make Dyme an incredibly powerful force, giving him the power to alter reality at a whim, it's highly unlikely his desires will ever change, since he's so in love with the idea of being a superhero.

Dyme's main Super abilities present themselves in the form of his guitar; in times of need, it will appear in his hands, and any song he plays on it will have an effect on the outside world. Unlike ThreeWords's music-based powers, though, Dyme's are a bit more literal; instead of an effect directly relating to the title of a song, Dyme's techniques are more likely to be based on the lyrics, or possibly even the tune of the song. "Fire [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln3n3X2tXpU&feature=channel]", by Kasabian, for example, wouldn't simply cause a flame to appear; Dyme would have to play the song for about a minute before it got to a significant moment, and then by the time he arrived at the chorus he could belt out "I'M ON FIRE!" (na na na na na, na na na na), at which point he himself would catch alight. Similarly, with a song which has a very fast tempo, such as "The Red Zone [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zliubqahaZM]", could give a nearby ally the power to move incredibly fast, or something similar.

There are a number of flaws with Dyme's power; though he will innately learn how to play a song upon hearing it, once he's played it once he'll never be able to play it again in order to invoke his ability (this may be a subconscious manifestation for his hatred of the boring or repetitive); what's more, once he's started playing a song he's unable to do much else until he stops, and with some songs he'll need to play it for a while before the effect kicks in.
Alright, I'm in; anyone who was in or has read the old Surge thread may have noticed that Dyme's origin story had a little reference to Amy Vance's first appearence in the story...
I think, for the sake of convenience, I'll embed a link to all the songs Dyme plays so that people who don't already know them might get the significance. I'm aware this may "break the flow" of the story somewhat, so if there's any major objections I'll be happy not to.

So, I've got a little thought: why is it that people don't call them "Powereds" rather than "Supers"? The term "Super" implies something really grand and fantastic, whereas "Powered" simply means that they have an ability, without any of the associations...

I see you; interesting idea, and I think I'll let you get away with copying my power...

As for the word 'Super', it's just a phrase used in Overcharged, that became the word we use. I never really thought about changing it... You can use what word you want, but I'm sticking with Supers

Well, my thinking is that as a whole the public hate the Supers, right? So It just didn't really seem to make sense that they'd talk about them as if they were "super"...

Good point. On the other hand, you can't just change a word. I think, however, that I may have the government (and therefore the Company) trying to re-brand the Supers as mutants or something similar, while the public still use the phrase Super to a certain extent...

Name: Graham Marks
Age: 26
Appearance: Graham stands 6 foot tall with a slim yet athletic build. He has white skin, green eyes, bright blond hair and short and very well kept hair. One word that stands out when people see him is professionalism- well shaved, tidy hair, and sporting a smart navy blue suit, white shirt and blue tie. He likes maintaining a smart yet sleek look.

Powers: Graham has the power to control, manipulate and absorb blood on contact. This means he can solidify and crystalize blood into deadly makeshift weapons, touch an open wound to give someone a very painful death and such. Blood also can heal him- whether his own or someone else's, can be absorbed and used up to heal his wounds and etc. Furthermore blood can be used to 'overheal' him; in cases where Graham has no injuries blood can be used to grant him greater physical strength.

Short bio: Graham's life had been quite un uneventful one. Born into a rather wealthy family, had a good childhood, got into college and eventually law school, and blah blah blah. Uneventful and somewhat boring; these words pretty much summed up Graham's life. Sure he had quite a few crazy nights back in college and law school, but nothing that could be called extra-ordinary; yet this was the way Graham preferred it- living a quiet yet pleasing life.
After graduating from law school he was hired by the prosecutor's office in Urbis.

I've got a question- what would happen to a super under the anti super legislation? Is there some sort of super jail or is it shoot on sight?

Quick question; will we have our powers at the start, or gain them early on?

CONGRATULATIONS, you get to read my latest novel, Aqualung's Billionth Character Sheet In The Past 8 Years.

Name: Emma Haleigh

Age: 24

Appearance:
Emma can very much be described as the 'girl next door' type of woman, bearing a beauty not quite shapely enough for magazines, and a pale, fair shade of skin. She stands at roughly 5'6", with the sort of slim body that never seems to change regardless of her diet, and fairly small breasts. Though she has comfortably wide and feminine hips, the rest of her being seems a little more awkward and shyly placed.

However, her real beauty seems to lie in her expression. With large, warm golden-brown eyes, she often appears to be the young girl of innocence, shy yet happy and friendly. Her nose is small and delicately pointed, hovering above a pair of thin pink lips and a fragile chin. Gentle curls of copper-red hair typically hang loosely just past her slender shoulders, pushed back from her forehead by a thick white headband.

She typically wears simple, comfortable, and neat clothing: a pair of dark jeans with a thick brown belt; some plain brown boots; a white close-fitted polo shirt.

Power:
Emma's powers seem to be intricately linked with the air and oxygen. Much to her own surprise, she discovered her ability to not only vanish completely, but to become one with the atmosphere; to be able to pass through fences or through the cracks of doors and reconstruct herself on the other side. Not only is becoming air feasible, but controlling it as well. Though she hasn't tried conjuring any wicked storms, she has taught herself to make miniature vortexes, gusts, and the like, along with feeding oxygen to fires or directing smoke.

Unfortunately, the oxygen around her seems to affect her health as though she is extremely sensitive to the air quality. Having lived in the countryside throughout most of her life, this was never a problem, until she moved to Urbis and began to experience the pains of metropolitan pollution. She now suffers from a mild cough, but this could grow worse over time. She is able to 'meditate' and clear the oxygen of bad particles around her head for a while, but this usually only provides a short relief.

Short Biography:
Born and raised in the countryside several miles away from the borders of Urbis, Emma Haleigh enjoyed a quiet and peaceful childhood with the comfort of her foster parents and older brother. Always a shy but happy young girl, she made only a few close friends throughout her early years and was able to easily maintain excellent grades. In such a small community, her circumstances changed very little until she graduated from high school with an exceptional scholarship and moved to the city of Urbis to attend university, leaving behind her hushed lifestyle for the bustle and panic of the city.

Almost immediately she disliked the noise and rudeness of the city, but she persevered, pushing through her degree and eventually earning her Bachelor of Arts in music, with a major in vocals. It was around the time of her graduation that the first signs of her powers began to appear. Minor things came first- blowing on hot chocolate and having the contents spray everywhere, or waving away a fly and sending papers flying instead. Once she finally realized what was beginning to happen, she attempted to research it and acquired little help. This time, she was on her own; she would learn to control her ability herself, and hide it from others.

One year ago, she had been visiting her parents in the country during the strange events that took place there. She currently still resides in Urbis, though is considering moving away due to the city's toll on her health.
