James was sitting at the head of a long dark wooden meeting table, his hands were resting in-front of him. The whole room was completely silent, everyone was watching James nervously, beads of sweat running down some of their heads.
"what do you mean they bought it? you were supposed to get it first, this is inconvenient " James told one of the advisors sitting along the table in a dangerously calm tone.
"umm..... they... they.... were quicker than we expected we couldn't react fast enough...." the man stammered back.
"You cost the company 3,347,233 dollars, get out, never come back," james said simply. The man slumped in his seat, deflated, he stood and walked hurriedly out of the door, there was a long silence then James gestured for everyone to leave. After all the advisors had left James swiveled in her chair to face the huge windows behind him, Urbis stretched out ahead of him, a huge sprawling expanse of grey buildings.
James sat for a while and stared out the window, he then reached down to the floor and picked up a pure red apple which he began to eat, he then stood and began to walk towards to doors, moving quickly but smoothly he went through them then down the elevator to the garage where he walked through the garage somehow managing to make no noise. James got into his sleek black car and drove out of the garage onto the street.
As he left the garage a man dressed in shabby cloths sprinted up to his car and began to batter on James' window, screaming and ranting, James rolled down the window and smoothly slid a knife out of his pocket and into the mans throat, the man spluttered and fell to the ground, James drove on, wiping his knife clean with a crimson cloth.
"Bloody hobos," James remarked to himself.
