I fear that in December 2012, the world will end. Or at least something cataclismic will occur that will change our planet forever. Sure, Y2K was a dud, but who knows about what the Azrecs foretold what with their fancy calendar.

I think my only crippling fear is being in tight spaces. Elevators and stuff are fine, but I'm a pretty tall guy and if I stay in one for more than 2 minutes I get pretty nervous thinking about how I could be trapped in this space where the only way I could fit would be to stand up. Especially being in ferris wheels scares the heck out of me, they're so rickety and slow that I once tried opening the door just to make more space.

My only weird fear concerns Courage the Cowardly Dog, remember that show? There was this one episode that had a giant, glowing white, live action head whose eyes and mouth were completely black and it just suddenly appeared on the screen with no warning. That is the scariest goddamn thing I have ever seen in my life, no matter what anybody says.I won't even watch the opening of the show anymore because there's a chance Mr. Head could pop up.

Furries.

Online, I see a furry and I panic the crap out.

In real life, one of my good friends is a furry and I get really edgy around him.

Oh, and ever since I was six, I've been afraid of bees. If I see one, I don't want to be anywhere in that area. If I see a wasp or a hornet, I'm fucking gone.
I got stung in the ear once, I guess that's what triggered it.

I think they just got lazy and didn't finish the calendar.

Then again, I didn't give the youtube videos their much-deserved views.

this may sound crazy but most the people that know me.. get this. Im not very scard of anything. I use 15 foot ladders on a daily bases multiple times a day, I can run up them even and hop onto the top. completely comfy with heights. bugs, random shenanigans. <3 the dark.

but! Aliens! just the thought of them makes it hard to sleep at night. When I was a kid, I was changing in my room so naturally the window was closed/covered *I had those like projection pull down window things* that cover the entire window very easily. anyways I opened it up, and someone/somethin was directly on the other side lookin directly at the window I remember it being green, but I was only like 5. and bolted off running, it could have been one of my older sisters friends in a suit or something. but I didn't take the time to look. which I really wish I would have now.. cuz now I question whats real or fake. And its pretty bad also. Every night when I let my dog out I find myself looking at the stars. one cuz I love the stars.. but also so possibly one day I can answer that question asto what was it that I saw.

as for the other guy. I totally wish a zombie infestation would come.. lol

I WAS afraid of listining to Jeff Wayne's musical version of "The War of The Worlds". It used to terrify me; but now I love it, the ullaing still creeps me out though.

I am one of the only people I know who DOESN'T fear wasps, but that was because I had a wasp's nest in my bedroom when I was four, I learned to leave them alone.

My fear of poison headcrabs is starting to spread to real life now, so if I hear a rasping, hissing noise I panic, good thing I don't dream anymore, otherwise I would get nightmares about them.

Santa Claus scares the crap out of me.

Honestly, if i'm in a mall during the holidays and I see one of those mall-Santas, I will turn around and walk in the opposite direction.

I'm also afraid of clowns, but that's not that rare.

Okay, everyone's afraid of something. Some fears are weirder than others. What strange fear of something do you have?

I personally have a fear of stairs. For some reason, I don't like to stand too close to stairs unless I need to use them. If I'm walking past a flight of stairs, I have to walk a bit farther away from them for fear of falling sideways, if i'm walking down and there's a flight of stairs above me I'm worried it'll colapse, if I have to walk up stairs I'll lean forward as much as I can for fear of tripping backwards.

So, do any of you have a fear as weird as this? Or am I all alone in this lonely ocean?

PS: Try to find the wording for your fear, it's fun!

Bathmophobia- Fear of stairs or steep slopes

Climacophobia- Fear of stairs, climbing, or of falling downstairs
I have the saem exact thing. It probely doesnt help that my feet are longer than most of the steps i come across.

being burninated.
I take it thats a reference to Trogdor the burninator? ha

I fear getting stuck at a crappy job making less than 100 thousand a year, or working retail too long. Seriously I worry about it all the time.

Ya, jobs cause a lot of worrying stress. Really, just not doing anything that's successful in your life is a pretty big fear for a lot of people, whether it's a rational or not one to have. A lot of my friends from high school and college have felt that way for years.

The guard rails and concrete barriers to divide the paths on the highways, whenever I see them, feel like a vehicle is gonna hit our car and my head's gonna be crushed between the two

I fear stupid people taking over the world, and leading to our destruction.

<insert Bush/McCain joke here>
