I have obsessive compulsive reloading disorder and the habit of finding ways to use the cheapest weapons all the time in case I need that grenade later, despite the fact they're littered all throughout the game.

I tend to pick up guns or weapons and NEVER use the biggest ones, just in case - ammo's always scarce.

I have pretty much all of the previously mentioned obsessions, but I'd like to add one I didn't see (or missed).

In RTS', I love to have a massive base, and just watch the enemy endlessly pound their heads against my IMPENETRABLE WALLS! DIE! I SAW WHAT YOU DID TO MY FRIEND!

The "i might need it later" is definately one that affects me. Also it once took me 4 hours to furnish (not create) a sims 2 house (including making a family of 4), so that's why i dont play the sims 2 anymore. And commonly during Halo if i cant manage to kill an enemy in a specific way, then i will usually revert to checkpoint, or even restart the level

oh,and the pokeball thing? yes, every time i threw one, i held down+B. every single time.
You mean that didn't make any difference? ....... oh

Its not *really* the answer to the question, but i remember once, over the space of about 2 weeks i played monkey island 1-3 and broken sword 1-3...... i almost turned klepto IRL....

I was lookign at things thinking "ooh.... that could be useful" and to this day i still have a longcoat that weighs double its normal weight due to the assortment of elastic bands, paper clips, pens, magnets, silly putty, soap, electricity meter box keys etc etc etc

After playing Gears Of Awesome on insane for a few hours, I went to the bathroom. After I was finished, I almost tried to press X to kick the door down.

I love to level up my attributes in Oblivion to the point where I'll sneak all the way from Bravil to Bruma.

yeah i relate with some of this.

i do reload quite a lot. in most cases its a good thing. its not only the sense that i'm ready to face baddies with a full clip but its just the... 'spectacle' of the movement. i remember in command & conquer renegade you could still reload even after you reloaded the first time so i would just happily tap 'R' again and again. its even more fun with a gun like the personal ion cannon... wwwrrRRRRrrr. still there are times where i press 'R' when i need to the least... specificly when playing Unreal Tournament or doom.

also i remember a different life, one when i did play pokemon. that life ended one fine day at a family day out and for god know how and why i left my game boy in an esky. the game boy functioned fine but not only did i lose my save game but my copy of pokemon gold lost its game saving ability altogether... this did in fact was the end of the series for me and i never had a second though on getting a pokemon game ever again so thats another strange gaming compulsion.

also another rather odd gaming compulsion... i did burn my companion cube. shock horror dudes! ...don't hurt me i'm new.

i have the I might need this later syndrome :p Because in any bloody RPG iwe played i have been having a full inventory. Which was full of stuff that i realy didnt need in the future :p But hey, Who knows? And i also reload after like 5 shots in a game, like in CS.

Sometimes i point at the screen and say: "ååååhhhhhhhhh!" when i get nice kills, only to realise that im alone.

Chill out ya spiky haired littl emo freaks.

lol if you played pokemon when you were a kid LOL odds are you still are one.

You two obviously take this kind of thing way to seriously.
Oh and yes I am better than you, the fact that you play pokemon has nothing to do with it though.
You're better because you insult randomly for no good reason whatsoever?
Oh right
And what does the fact that you're on probation say about how much "better" than these 2 you are?

Pokemon was awesome, i loved it and mashed the buttons to affect the catch-rate
Bud Myers: un-clench your arseh*le and live a little

I don't have anything i would call a compulsion, i do picture the people i know in games though
My father for example becomes the All-Father Odin in Valkyrie Profile 2 for example

Uhh I buy games and then don' play them. I'll go out to the store and buy a game that looks cool, play it once, and then put it away. I'll convince myself that I still like the game, but I just won't play it.

I also NEVER sell games.

I constantly reload, even if I've only fired two shots. I also try and conserve ammunition and healthpacks to what is perhaps an alarming extent in most RPGs.

I only play playstation and gameboy
And i click Ecks, Circle, Triangle, Square in a speedy circular motion during cut-scenes and loading screens
I'm sure i can't be the only one
It's the best button-mash technique
And on game-boy i rapidly click A, B, A, B, A, B during anytime it's not going to affect game-play

when i play fallout 3 i often loot far more than i can carry
in any game including monopoly where my character has lots of power or cash or is mowing down hordes i start giggling
i like saying hiyas half the time i get the drop on an enemy
the "i might need it later" in halo 3 i often end a level with an invincibility power up
i have a need to conserve ammo even when it is by no means scarce
i like blood but i think fallout 3 overdid it
