Jump, ya gotta jump everywhere.
This. In Oblivion only though.....oh, and where it applies, I ALWAYS 'fast travel' in games that have something like that available. Unless the world is worth exploring. Oblivion's wasn't. :\

In Pokemon, like the guy above said, I like all my Pokemon at the same level, usually enging with and 0 whenever possible. One Hundred is the best level to have. :D

In RPGs featuring a unique party of characters with weapons and ability that are totally up for me to choose, I'll go out of my way to build each character as the "class" I feel they remind me of. A perfect example of the is FF12.... sure, everybody but Balthier and Fran stars out as a sword + shield kind of Fighter/Warrior job, and their stats can change depending on the type of gear you level them through (I... I think so, at least). But I tried my hardest to make Vaan good with knives, tried to make Fran the sniper and Basche was my tank, and Ashe was going to be the "mage" of the group.

I kinda lost faith in Balthier and Penelo because.... well, guns were about as useful as Khimari from FF10, and I didn't see Penelo as contributing to the "class" variety... I got kinda lazy and forgot to level them both, so they're still in the 50s while my mains: Vaan, Balthier and Ashe, are up in the 80s...

I think it's because I invest too much attention in liking the characters compared to how much strategy I put in my party builds ^__^;

If there is a spear, I'll use it.
I'm the same way...even to the point that I use Dragoon as my main job in FFXI...'cause Spears are their primary weapon. Well, I love dragons too...but spears is the main reason I picked that job. :)

I talk to everyone and inspect everything, to the point where I really annoy myself.

If there are two paths, I'll take one, and if I feel like I'm getting too far ahead, I'll backtrack and take the other to see where it leads (usually to a dead-end that was just off-screen).
Same here. I just can't help the feeling that there's something super-vital (or at least a little useful) on the other path, and I never know if I'll be able to return...
Yep same here. I also kill everything in sight when I get bored. In Oblivion about every hour or so I'll save and go on a killing spree, usually right after a shopkeep cheats me.

Sense motive on the dire badger. (Anyone who's run through Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil will know what I'm on about).

In Oblivion I'd usually get caught pick pocketing... and then end up killing guards forever.

In Fallout, for some odd reason, I hoard Laser Pistol ammo. I think I have upwards of 18000 total rounds.
I also use the Fatman with wanton disregard of where I'm pointing it or how I'm using it.
Sometimes I use it to take out a Molerat.

Also... when I play a male character I tend to play more like how I would if it were real.
However, when I play a female character... I tend to play like a murderous, backstabbing douchebag... No idea why... maybe from psychological trauma... or because of a former acquaintance.

I have the strange habit of having a hard time of letting go of any unique weapon, armour etc. Especially, if it was a reward from a quest. I also tend to pick style over practicality, choosing the coolest looking stuff rather than the most useful. What are your strange habits? Do they hinder your progress at points?
You ain't the only one, matey. I always go with what looks cool.

Case in point (this is in a PnP RPG, by the by), in the Palladium game I am part of, my character is getting together a bunch of impractical clothing to make a suit. Why? Because I thought it would be cool to do.

CRPG-wise, my Fallout 3 character ends up in whatever I think looks cool (Merc armor on my most recent character).

Also, if I get a choice, I play the most evil person I can. Everything I meet up with is murdered and looted. Such fun.
