forgot to save my progress in Pokemon before turning off the DS. Lost a lot of progress. Didn't bother to start again.

Also, I stopped playing Deus Ex because there were too many options. I always felt like I was doing something wrong, for instance when I picked a lock and then found a key. And the feeling that I'm missing the game's content when finding gazzilions of alternate routes after beating a mission.

I stopped playing Fallout 3 because of the radscorpions. I HATE bugs. Like Indian Jones and snakes level fear of the damn things.

I can almost hear you monologuing about how manly you are and you watch Youtube videos of the 'No Russian' level of Modern Warfare 2.Is that supposed to make us feel any different?Ooh,you killed pedestrians on a GTA clone, how interesting. And the best part that you say "God,that's sad" at the end of the post.I can determine you are religious,so that's another point subtracted from you,and why are you sad? That's like stomping on a Goomba in Super Mario Bros. and saying that "he deserved it",then 5 seconds later crying and yelling "What kind of monster am I?!".
What the hell are you talking about? I have no problem killing a character in a game ... and depending on the person was, I probably wouldn't in real life either, if I had to. What saddened me was that I wasn't able to give my fictional son the best. I was saddened that my best wasn't good enough to fit my standards. There's probably a lot of psychology in that can derived from that, but then again, seeing as how you can't even put a space after a period, I'm not surprised it flew over your head.

Also, I'm not relgious ... I'm spiritual.

A lot of my friends didn't have Lost Planet 2 even though they said they were getting it when it came out. I got it then took it back after 3 months. They got it immediately after I take it back. I got it back, we all played, I then took it back because the online was kind of shit to me ^^'

Dark Cloud was a fun game, i enjoyed the combat the inventory setup and whatever plot i could piece together but when i got to the end of the game as in, meet last item shop>>>navigate linear dungeon>>>>>boss! on 5 accounts i would load my save and start going through the dungeon the enemys where moderate enemys still proving a challenge but i would always get to the same spot and then loose complete intrest in contiueing past that part. It like i subcontouisly thought the games ending would be crappy and did not want the fun to end lol.

Well I have quit on plenty of games either something better comes along or the chaacters pissed me off for whatever, or I got sooo stuck that I get angry and give up. although I think my weirdest reason for giving up on a game was Final Fantasy The Four Warriors of Life, found it at walmart thinking "Wow I never heard of this one i guess I'll buy it." bought it took it home played it for about 10 minutes, after exploring the town nd following the only advice the game gives I think was go west or something only to find following the games advice to be a waste of time because all you get is a dead end then finally just gave up turned it off then went to eb games a week later and traded it in for something else.

Two recent examples:

1. Rome: Total War. I was playing through it whilst watching the HBO series Rome , both for the first time. When the series ended (took me about two weeks), I'd put quite a few hours into Rome: Total War and I was satisfied that I'd done enough for now. Mainly, I decided my backlog was too big for me to continue playing it forever, which felt very possible. So yeah, I quit whilst I was still really enjoying it. I'll play it again one day though.

2. The Witcher 2. A short time into the first non-prologue chapter, I found myself out in a forest type area that was meant to look big but was actually a pretty small area because there were plants and whatnot blocking your path in most directions. For some reason, this "big area but you can only walk over a small part of it" thing reminded me of Mass Effect, yet still made me want to play it again. Really badly. So I stopped immediately and reinstalled ME 1 and 2, and played through them. But I will return to The Witcher 2 shortly, because I was enjoying it.

Fallout 3. I just stopped. No real reason for it, but thinking about it makes me want to get back to finishing the game.

I stopped playing Fallout 3 because it took up too much of my time. The problem was that once I started playing the game I couldn't put it down in any reasonable amount of time. It wasn't a game I could just pick up and play for an hour and then put down because I felt like I hadn't really done anything worth doing within such a short amount of time, but I don't really get many days where I can just game for hours at a time. Usually I have short breaks where I can game in between doing other stuff, and Fallout 3, while being an AWESOME game, just didn't fit into that time. Will definitely finish the game at some point once I have more free time.

I stopped playing Stalker: SoC because I always ended up having to alt+tab out of the game to look up a guide on where to go, and the early guns that had a strange habit of shooting bullets that decide when they want to hurt people.

I had to stop playing dragon age: origins because it was hurting my pride with its difficulty. I felt too proud to turn the difficulty down and plan on playing it again later. It's gonna be hard but I will brute force my way through the game into getting good enough at it.
My advice? Play as a 2-handed rogue (not dual wield, 2-handed, as in greatswords and hammers) then spend your ability points on rogue abilities (stealth!). That way, when the shit hits the proverbial fan, you stealth/feign death, chug on some health potions and you are ready to go. Also, the ranger specialisation means you can just summon a bear to tank for you.)

OT: I always stop playing a game for a legitimate reason.

I've quit several games in the past just because my older brother was much better at them then I was. Seeing my brother play TF2, rocket jumping and then blowing up three people with a single shot, makes me just cry inside knowing that I'll never be awesome enough to do it myself. He also, unlike me, beat InFamous on hard difficulty and only died once. I can't even beat it on easy without dying at least five times... Though I still play InFamous because it's a well made game.

I also quit World of Warcraft because I, unlike most people, realized how boring and tedious it all was. I got a character to level 24 once but I'm not sure how I accomplished that without Blizzard forcing me to, especially since this was when I didn't know that the Horde was better than the Alliance.

Is that really something uncommon?Ooh,you have no problem killing people in a game. How stunning.Ooh,if it were a terrible person you 'probably' wouldn't have any problems doing it in real-life either.Wow,that's just amazing. So,you got sad because you couldn't buy toys for your (unreal)child in a game when you were 9?Wow,amazing story there too.
Another retard who complains about punctuation and other unimportant shit on THE INTERNET.Psychology?!What?!Dude, you seriously have problems and need help. You're not religious, you're 'spiritual'?What?!What's that supposed to mean?Ooh,can't put a space after a comma or whatever.Just because it's annoying to do,unnecessary and I don't always feel like doing it doesn't mean I can't do it.By the way,'relgious'?Uh,did you mean 'religious'?

Dear lord, what is your problem? I laughed at his reason for stopping the game. I found it hilarious that he felt bad about his fictional son, since it's fairly silly. And I don't think he has been flaunting the fact that "he can kill people in a game". He was merely stating the oddness of the reason he stopped playing one game. Logic follows that if you are capable of bloody murder in game, you should not feel bad about a video game son. That's how I understood his post...

It makes me sad that you consider punctuation to be unimportant.

Back when FFX came out I stopped playing because I couldn't beat the very first Blitzball game (still can't). I tried and tried.. suffering through that damned movie scene and playing, knowing full well I'll fail in my quest (although I did tie once).
