Literally off the bookshelf - A book called Nell's Book of the Dead. From what I could tell it was a disjointed foray into the counter-culture of the 60s and 70s. It was full of etchings, random catoons, poems, scribbles, articles, sentences, stories and pictures put together by a man who was obviously beyond stoned on every substance you could possibly imagine including the stuff in the middle of a golf ball.

One of the stories, with accompaning pictures, was of a rubber plant who got tired of his owner, (Nell,) smoking his leaves so while at a party he flushed himself down the toilet with a marijuana plant called Stash and "Mr. Ploppy man, a friendly turd," in an effort to escape from police. They hid out in a porno theatre in which the rubber plant, (who's name escapes me,) made a bootleg tape which he turned into a lucritive pornographic business. The story doesn't end as such it just kind of trails off.

I discovered this book at age nine. It was... interesting.

I found "The Complete Book of Etiquette", an old book full of archaic social standards...its half funny, half incredibly sad.

Oh, and an old German bible from the 1800s that survived the book burnings from the 40's, complete with scorch marks to show for it.

A small gold Buddha.

No-one I know is Buddhist, so I have no idea how it got there.

I now display it next to some shark jaws, a small wooden figurine of Ganesh and a disarmed bullet.

While we're on the subject, can someone help me figure the calibre of it? It's 133mm long (inluding the casing) and is 15mm across on the base of the casing.

See my Spur of the Moment reviews, that's mostly odd stuff I found in my room.

Bookcase though, only ever had books, and many many spider webs. Thank god I'm not afraid of spiders...

An enormous spider and a bottle of wine which was precariously balanced between it and the wall. No idea how it got there, it must've been there since before I moved in.

A rather nice red, as it goes.

A half-full coffee mug, a half-eaten apple, a half-eaten sandwich, etc...
I have a nasty habit of leaving half-finished things right where I stand at the moment.

On the other hand I have also found my Math book in the fridge.

the finger nail off of my middle finger that I lost about 5 years ago. I found it last week cleaning, no idea why I never threw it away.

I also found a box of notes from my old girlfriend and after I dumped them into the trash I found the $150 I was going to spend for her birthday

I have two daggers lying in front of my books right now... I need to find more suitable place for them.
