Hrpmh. Double post. My bad.
Did you... did you just quote me and then deleted the post?

I'm confused as the forum software is a bit crazy today too and I'm not sure what's up now.
Yeah, I did, then got distracted, then reposted it in the above post to save space, but removed the post reference to avoid double-notifying you.
I see. Though it wasn't there the last time I looked, I swear!

But... Susan is our Nerd Queen. How could I steal a badge from the Queen? That's like stealing... well, from the Queen!
Woah, woah, woah. I wasn't suggesting you steal anything. Or acquire, appropriate, "borrow", liberate, snatch or otherwise remove anything from anyone's possession, I was merely implying that you beg and plead her to, in her infinite wisdom and benevolence, grant me the badge "For being such a good sport" and also to screw with everyone else.
But that would be woooork. I don't liiike work.

...
Fiiiine, I asked her. She said she'd send it to you via DerpHL Overnight Express. So I suggest looking through your mail in a few weeks. And the mail of your neighbors. And the of the guy from across the street who always hangs half out of the window smoking.

I guess this is kind of neat, considering the popularity of the show but I have to wonder what type of high school he is attending to be allowed to do a project like that in a science class. Not trying to imply something is wrong with the school or his chosen assignment (so MLP trolls stay back, hold back your rainbows of wrath) but I'm a bit shocked, more like culture shocked instead of being snobbishly appalled at, the fact that he and I guess other students were assigned simple stuff like that.

When I was in high school, I was doing calculus based physics which was a standard level class and not a college AP course. The setting of my high school was to prepare students for college so our classes mirrored or went a little bit beyond the type of material covered on an average college level. Also, my high school was not the equivalent of ivy league status.

I guess that was just the educational direction that the county I went to school in wished to take. Maybe the county or district this kid goes to school in is more relaxed.
It was probably a project on how messed up fictional science can be. It makes sense to me because they would have to explain why it's messed up, and in doing so, learn a lot.

This is my sense of humor. Taking something and just having fun with it. He had a project and decided to put a funny twist on it, he is awesome.

This guy is awesome I mean he made a presentation about My little pony one of my favorite shows and applied real world physics proving both Applejack and the butterflies are made of dark matter.

Anyways, I think its pretty cool how this guy decided to make a project out of this. I bet he won a few points with his classmates as well.

Success!
Knowing the escapist though, that could mean anything from nothing, to they tracked me down via my IP address and have mailed my next door neighbour a pony badge.

The President, although seeing as Obama has a daughter, it's only a matter of time before we're in the Whitehouse.

As a person who loves science AND magic, I think you should apply some laws of physics into your magic. I can use my fantasy story as an example. I allow some impossible ideas (unstable buildings supported by magic) but some things I made sure would make some sense (magical energy being condensed into a shotgun bullet for an explosive charge). I just think that to make a story about magic to be somewhat realistic, you must include some scientific laws. After all, the more realistic a story is, the more reader, or watchers in this case, can relate to it.

This comes from a person that spends their free time reading, drawing, and writing stories. But that's just how I would see it. Creative license allows you to make up anything in a story, but I personally think a story is more enjoyable and realistic when it is even a little logical.

Still, you know what they say. A pony in the hand is worth two horses on the roof.
Or something... I'm not good with idioms.
