Supposedly, the TV shows you watch show what you want out of life.

I ask you, fellow Escapees, what does your television habits say about you?

I mostly watch Star Trek and british comedies now. I'm guessing that Star Trek says I value altruism and scientific advancement over all else. No idea about the british comedies.

I don't watch TV.

I'm also highly unmotivated and don't really have any goals other than being able to do whatever I want all day every day.

Go figure.

I watch TV for like, 4 shows, tops.

Also, the person who invented the word 'tween' needs to be shot in the fucking face with a scorpion.

I mostly watch TV shows passively. The shows I like though... I guess they'd mean that I have a desire for adventure above all else. Exploring new places with a set group of friends--seeing how to get myself out of every new mess.

Eh, if nothing else this'll keep Psychologists in business for many years to come. Think of all the mid-life crises and cases of depression they'll get to treat because TV didn't follow up on the promise of making EVERYONE a star.

Wish I'd noticed this before. Made me laugh after I saw it. But, are you sure a scorpion is enough? How 'bout a dragon?

I watch Doctor Who and I'm sure that says plenty about me. I like Sci-Fi and The Doctor - go figure.

Agreed. I don't watch a lot of TV, but of the shows I DO watch, it would be deduced that I want to be a time-travelling Southern vampire who has a limitless knowledge of quite interesting things.

A dragon that's mighty pissed because it's had a scorpion shot at it's face?

I'm English, and watch comedies, like Blackadder and The Vicar Of Dibley, which shows I enjoy a good laugh but am quite set in my ways, as I don't watch much modern stuff,

I watch a broad spectrum of scientific programs and documentaries, showing I want to be knowledgable and have an interest in the waorld around me,

I'm an avid Doctor Who fan, and as such enjoy fantasising about the limits and future of science and mankind, and what could happen in our future,

And I avoid reality shows like X Factor and Big Brother like the plague, as I don't like seeing other peoples intimate lives exploited for entertainment value.

I watch Doctor Who. And a bunch of cooking shows (Next Food Network Star, Chopped, Iron Chef America, et cetera). What precisely does that make me? Does it mean I secretly want to become a chef that can travel through time and space?

A gun that shoots scorpions you say?! Brilliant idea!!!

OT: It seems kids perceptions of reality are really askew, but I can't blame them, they're just kids. Albiet stupid kids, but kids none the less. However, I do hope that they will grow out of it and realize that the chance of them being famous are really slim unless they have the money to buy it. I will say that I had big dreams for myself -I wanted to be an astronaut- but growing up and starting college with a job I've come to realize that you need to have your priorities straight and you really need to work hard in life. Although and occasional daydream doesn't hurt either. :p

Somehow I am not surprised by this. With reality TV making stars out of nobodies, it's only natural that little Jimmy and Jane think that's their 'get out of being a responsible human being' card.

Anyway, I rarely watch TV. When I do it's ROME, Game of Thrones, Futurama, 90s cartoons, CSI reruns, and Avatar the Last Airbender.
