So watching Comedy Central, Cartoon Network and Tbs are going to make me a animated, late night, comedian who also does part-time sitcoms?

I THINK I already knew that. Anyway, comedians don't get much fame as, say, a rapstar, but they can still be famous enough to get special treatment.

I watch Doctor Who. And a bunch of cooking shows (Next Food Network Star, Chopped, Iron Chef America, et cetera). What precisely does that make me? Does it mean I secretly want to become a chef that can travel through time and space?
Maybe you want to travel through time to collect the greatest recipes the world has ever known and then use those recipes to create the worlds greatest restaurant!!

Well I basically watch violent anime, cartoons and comedies. So I want to be an animated character who constantly gets thing through force all while entertaining others with my great sense of humor...

Most of the time I just watch the movie channel, plenty of good movies without commercials. Right now Terminator 2 is playing as its a Swarzenegger Marathon.

Alos to hell wit tweens and their desire for fame.

I guess I want to be a vividly colored pony with no ears, no nose, superpowers, and a nerdy professor for a dad

I usually only ever watch TV if I'm absolutely bored with nothing to do. Other than that, maybe a few shows if the programs are actually decent.

As far as the fame thing goes, I watched shows on Family Channel when it was actually cool to do so (ie: before they got all this new shit in there and completely screwed over any half decent shows) and none of it has ever affected my desire in life - to be a soldier. That said, I've only ever been raised in a military family, soooo...

That's a pretty damn drastic change in ranking, though. From 15 to 1 in ten years? o.o

I either watch really old cartoons, fantasy and scifi anime, or stuff from discovery and history... And ugh why do people think fame is so awesome? I don't like people, the last thing I'd want is people noticing me and bugging me wherever I went >.<

A study that says the participants that show great interests in certain shows with stories, and they'll latch onto and wish to re-enact those stories? Where's the surprise?

Then, logically, that must mean that I want to be fat, stupid, live in the future on a starship exploring the universe, shoot things with guns, live in a vibrantly colored world, have lots of friends, drink heavily, and have talking animal companions.

*Pauses to think*

Nope.

Actually, I despise attention. I would just like to lurk in my dark corner, please.

Firefly, Bones, Battlestar Galactica

I'll get my smart friends and fly through space, tracking down murderers while doing whatever it takes to remain out of the government's control and avoid those who want to kill me.

Really? I'm 16, and if I became Justin Bieber-famous, I think I'd go the the way of Cobain.

Anyway, the TV shows I watch are:

Futurama
The Big Bang Theory
South Park
Whitest Kids U' Know

That's about it.

I don't watch much tv other then New fox cartoons (Simpsons, Family guy, futerama, etc.) and Mythbusters

The idiotic guide to get famous
1. go on youtube (or other video webiste)
2. Make a video of you either sing terrible, bash trolls or both
3. Upload the video
4. go on 4chan and other trolly sites
5. give them the link to your
6. repeat step 2 as many as you like
7. ???
8. Profit

I have no responsibility (and respect for you) if you choose to follow this list.

This exactly matches my feelings about television and teenagers today, and I am therefore extremely suspicious of its authenticity. Anything that matches my opinions that perfectly can't possibly be true.

I watch TV for like, 4 shows, tops.

Also, the person who invented the word 'tween' needs to be shot in the fucking face with a scorpion.
How would that work? Do you mean the scorpion would be the gun, or the projectile? Because both would be awesome.

Anyways, that article makes a fucking ton of assumptions. The first being that the way people are in middle school defines how they will act when they're older, and the second being that this is caused exclusively by television. How about the fact that public middle schools across America contain extremely hostile learning environments? The social ladder is basically a bucket full of crabs scenario. I don't think that the desire to reach the top is anything new.

The final assumption is that study=survey. Look, just because someone says something on a survey doesn't mean they're telling the truth.

I don't know.
I don't watch TV all the time, only when I'm at home, I don't have cable at my apartment.

When I'm home, I watch shows where people create or change things, like Top Chef, Project Runway, Tabatha's Salon Takeover, Hoarders and Hells Kitchen. I watch informative or speculative shows, like Taboo, How it's Made and Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman (mostly for his voice, half the theories are old news). I watch sleuth shows like Criminal Minds and In Plain Sight. I watch Star Trek: TNG occasionally for nostalgia and a love for Patrick Stewarts voice.

And I watch lame/random cartoons like Adventure Time, and Phineas and Ferb.
