"Return the slab, or suffer my curse."
Oh god, I was terrified of that episode.
I thought I was the only one, that felt kind of stuff the dude was made of was so damn freaky back then :X
And Courage The Cowardly Dog = one of the best shows CN ever had.

OT
The big-eyed, bald type of aliens (funnily enough, AVP-style aliens were just fine)

The zombies (redeads?) from Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time

Any chase scenes in video games (where the screen is scrolling and you've got to keep up or fall behind and die) were always annoyingly tense, anda few with monsters rather scared me

more stuff I guess I've blocked out ^_^

...

The man in gauze!

The Hush episode of Buffy,

"Can't even shout, can't even cry
The Gentlemen are coming by.
Looking in windows, knocking on doors,
They need to take seven and they might take yours.
Can't call to mom, can't say a word,
You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard."

And not to mention the gentlemen reminded me of clowns and I hate clowns, they're too damn happy.
Can you explain what's so amazing about Buffy. I've never seen it so I guess I don't understand.
There's nothing special about Buffy. In fact most of the series' are stilted and mediocre, but I have to agree about this one episode. God it was creepy. You had to see it I think.

I was terrified of the show 'Are You Afraid of the Dark'. Rewatching it now, it's old and hammy, but back then? Creepy as hell. The Clown and Doll House episodes stil make me shiver.

Zuul from Ghostbusters.

There is no Dana, only ZUUUUUUUL!

Edit. It also gave me an intense fear of opening the refrigerator at night.

I remember watching Ghostbusters when I was like 4, that old library lady in the beginning. Still loved the movie, watched it many times at that age but used to cover my eyes and ears on that part :).

Here she is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYjFKsJjCP0

And if anyone who watched kid's TV shows in the 90s: Does anyone remember a show featuring a purple sludge man wearing a leather jacket (resembling Oscar the Grouch)? I used to have nightmares about him.
I believe that would be Ghost Writer, specifically the episode with the "slime monster" and the only episode of the show that tried to be scary, since all the others were about kids solving mysteries with the aid of a ghost who could manipulate letters.

I'll be mocked for this no doubt. When I was about 3 or 4, watching Jurassic Park, the scene where the T-Rex attacks the cars scared the fuckin' life out of me. At one point I hid behind a box and then ran downstairs when it roared in the camera's direction. I refused to watch that film again for about 2 years.

Also, the endless staircase used to scare the crap out of me. I kept expecting something to jump out at me. *shudder*

And the scene from Disney's Pinocchio, when he turns into a donkey? Fuck that, I'd literally turn around and sit facing the other way whenever that part came on.

My older brother had an "atmosfear" video/board game...thing.

Yes...seems ridiculous. But watching him get progressively meaner and his face decaying as the game went on was terrifying.

I remember getting a helium balloon at a festival when I was about 5 and letting it go by accident. The way it just floated upwards into nothingness terrified me. I kept imaging important things attached to the balloon and being unable to get them back. :(

That scared me too, but then I just thought of the song they played for the first plague. That made me less scared :)
