Peanut butter and ham sandwiches.

Yes it makes my heart cry every time I lather on a thick spread of peanut butter over white bread, only to jam a thick slice of ham on it too.

But it tastes so goooooooooood.

The anime Code Geass since I'm into merch related anime. While I still think it's alright/good and it excellent music but overall I just didn't like it turn out. This is just my personnal opinions and I don't hate it. All I can say is that I'm not a huge fan unlike some of the other members of the Escapist.

The original Star Wars movies. I found them quite boring, and I closed the tv during the third one in the part with the coala-like creatures in the forest ( from what I can remember, it has been some time). I just found the scene incredibly silly.

AVATAR- the reason I "should" like this movie is because I love sci fi, and its directed by james cameron and its a huge hit whats not to love? I dont hate AVATAR but Im not blown away by it like I would assume, the reason is I can't take sides, I am sympathetic to the Na'vi but piss me off because they suffer "elf" syndrome, they are so perfect and better than those evil humans and the film takes every opertunity to tell us this, that we should be self loathing

the humans while I am also sympathetic to their plight are going about things by being douches, that never works, but obviously they arnt genre savy, and for somthing praised for being an orginal story its not that original (yes, big corporations and destroying the environment are BAD we know this), in fact another sci fi that has similar themes is district 9 and that handled it a million times better
I had pretty much the exact same opinion. Shame, really, because it could have been a great film.

Game soundtracks - I shouldn't like them as anything but part of a game given that I'm not a huge fan of that sort of music (orchestral, etc), but the contents of my iPod beg to differ.

Historical accounts - I'm a history geek, and I love reading so much it's almost unhealthy, yet I've never been able to get more than a chapter or so into these kinds of books, even those about places I love, events/wars etc of great interest to me, or anything of the sort. Kind of odd because I used to love them. Maybe it's one of those things that'll keep changing.

Dragon Age as well. Except I technically should like it since I love fantasy and I love RPGs. Still I quit Dragon Age after like 3 hours and never came back to it yet.

I should have liked Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Golden Sun: The Lost Age was the first game that blew my socks off, and likely the only game where i have such strong ties to it i'd be nostalgia blinded. But Dark Dawn was just so insultingly easy and juvenile...
...fucking Nintendo... just because a game is rated E doesn't mean you can't make it dark! Without the Pandora's Box feel that you're saving the world from gradual decay by unlocking something that can destroy it in a matter of years Golden Sun loses it's charm.

I should have hated Sasameki Koto. I'm not a big romantic in general, but a story where a tough girl falls in love with a dense moron and later a cross-dresser and emotionally immature lesbian writer falling falls in love with the tough girl is one that should spell "Hyperactive Disaster." Yet i found myself forgiving character flaws i normally would demand capital punishment for and actually becoming involved with the romance.
...maybe it's a yuri thing...

I'm also like you with this, except I couldn't watch past one episode.

Assassin's Creed 2&Brotherhood. I like the first one and the whole "Templar vs. Assassin" story, but I hate Ezio so much.
Humnans. Yes, I hate you.

Pheonix Wright series. I just don't like it. Too much writing, can't be done with it. Maybe I would have liked it better if I was in a reading mood. Didn't like Phantom Hourglass either. Really boring sailing sections got on my nerves.

Oh and I shouldn't like Cooking Mama. But I do.

I should love Morrowind, but I can't help but hate it. It's too focused on pure "role-playing", and it pisses me off that I'm going to have to make multiple characters for everything. And it's annoying enough backtracking everywhere without the fast travel system. I can't take a silt-strider to backwater towns, after all. I GET IT, YOUR WORLD IS BIG AND IMMERSIVE!

Also, cliff racers and running draining fatigue.

I should hate GTA4 for getting rid of all the over-the-top stuff, but I don't.

I'm on my 4th playthrough, and still enjoy every single minute of it. I even enjoy hanging with Roman.

I like Final Fantasy.

I love Turn-Based Strategy.

By this logic, I should adore Final Fantasy Tactics.

I don't. I hate it.
lol that's funny, I'm almost the inverse.

I love Final Fantasy Tactics, but I don't really care for the Final Fantasy series and I prefer RTS over turned based strategy.

Every metalhead that's younger than me, every metalhead that listens to nu-metal and every metalhead that doesn't have long hair. I should at least tolerate them since they make our numbers go up, but I despise them all. They're all posers to me.

The last block of video games (I buy games in blocks and they have to of had a price drop) were Alan Wake, Just Cause 2, and Red Dead Redemption. I was really excited about Alan Wake and couldn't wait to play it. I only bought RDR because it was such a low price and I had a gift card. It was the perfect storm because I hate Rockstar and had zero desire to play RDR, which I perceived to be GTA in the old west (I really hate GTA and am not sure why that series is sweated so hard). Also, I was going to get BioShock 2 instead of it, but wanted to replay BioShock before I got it. That and the price difference (seriously, RDR was $22).

That being said, I think you can figure it out from there. I did not like Alan Wake. Didn't hate it, just wasn't huge on it. It felt tedious and very boring at parts. The characters were rather annoying except the assistant sheriff lady. Not to mention, Alan Wake has the stamina of an eighty year old Amy Winehouse (just noticed, same initials).

RDR was fantastic, however. Blew me away, and it's now one of my favorite games of all time. I was truly shocked by that game.

In case you're wondering, I recently started Just Cause 2. This game has been hyped, especially by many on this site, so naturally I bit into the apple that I hadn't even thought to grab. I walked into indifferent, yet optimistic. I'm about five hours in and have yet to see what all the fuss is about. So far, disappointing.

Persona 3. I loved Persona 4 so hard, and many Persona fans say P3 is even better... so I should like it a lot, but I just don't. I can't trudge through the dungeons because the battle system sucks so much ass and it's like pulling teeth every time I battle. I want to like it and I want to push further on (the last thing I did was beat the train boss) but I can't. :(

And I'm not gonna buy a PSP just so I can play P3P so I can control the other characters (which is the worst thing about P3: FES, imo). Sucks.

I'm not a real FPS gamer, I don't play multiplayer, and I can't stand most war shooters because I'm a huge peace-loving hippie so I usually get edgy and start side-eying anything that's pro-war. But, I actually quite like most Call Of Duty games. And not just the anti-war (or at least anti-nuke) CoD4, but the pretty shamefully pro-American WaW. In fact, the only two CoD games that I have played which I can't stand are CoD3 and Black Ops. The rest I thought were fine.

As for things I should like but don't, I don't know why but I could never really get into Bioshock. I got into Bioshock 2 fine, even though a lot of people tell me it's worse. I don't hate Bioshock or anything, but I guess its atmosphere never crept up on me. I still plan on trying it again, but all the times I tried so far I just wound up getting bored...
