Stuff you want to get into, and why you haven't done it.

I too have to admit that I want to try tabletop role playing recently (due to reading these funny rp webcomics and from the shows Tales from the Table).
Likewise I don't know who to get into it since none of my mates are into it.

Also I always wanted to draw human characters as in comicbook and manga style but I am just too danm lazy and a perfectionist (try to make it look good until I give up). I know that it takes many years to be good at drawing but I just too impatience (ironic) so I give up easily.

1). D&D, can't find people to play with (Boston, MA).
2). Some wargaming (like WarMachine, looked into 40K but was dissuaded by the lack of balance and rule clarity), together with the hobby side of things. Money and time is the reason.
3). Back into MMORPGs. Time.
4). Back into fencing. Time, and nearest club is kinda far.

I want to start play the synthesizer but a complete lack of formal training, plus a lack of access to aforementioned training as I cannot self teach myself has prevented me from being able to sustain enough interest to push myself.

Additionally I want to start playing the heavy gear board game but a combination of price and a complete lack of anybody else who plays it in the province has prevented me from doing so.

Another thing I would love to get into is cosplaying, but there is only one con around here(Here being Nebraska) and good cosplays tend to get quite pricy.

I'm trying to learn the Source engine but for the past few weeks school has kept me busy with tests and essays. I've got some free time today so I'll probably get on it today.

Meanwhile, I was searching the internet for a new wallpaper when I came across this:

and I have to find time to watch that because good God Almighty, that picture is gorgeous. I really like beautifully drawn things and that looks great. I don't give a damn if the the movie is bad, if the visuals hold up to that then it will be worth it.

It's a good movie, for what it's worth. Also, only about an hour long. You will like it more if you like themes of separation and the passage of time. Easily my favorite work by Shinkai.

Back on topic. Getting on a healthier diet.

I'm getting older, and my health will be better if I start eating right. Haven't kickstarted it yet because I'm still researching nutrition. Also, I'm a terrible cook.

D&D.I like D20 video games,and I like roleplaying in video games.So,naturally,I should like D&D...But I haven't found anyone willing to play it.Also,speech class.I have a marvelous voice,but I am the least eloquent person I know.I mumble,people can hardly understand what I'm saying most of the time, and it's starting to bother me that my voice is so great,but it's coming out of a mouth that might as well be on drugs.

Anime. I've actually tried to get into it. I watched Lucky Star on a friends recommendation, and I love it, but there are two things.

1. I don't have enough time. Since I'm trying to stay on top of school and putting all of my extra curricular time into my local theater, I've had a really tough time putting time aside for anime watching.

2. ....the stupid intro tunes.

The big problem is the first one. After all, I can just skip number 2!

From the perspective of a "newbie" to comics, DC's "kill everyone and start again" last month is, honestly, a godsend. Unless you enjoy decades upon decades of intricate backstory. I dunno, you might be into that.

But the DC reboot is amazing. Pretty much all the stories have something to appeal to people (depending on personal taste, of course) and you don't really need to know anything about past continuity.
