I knew a girl named India, and her friend Dolly.
Dolly is Indian and India resembles Barbie. Go figure.

Rape (Yes, I am fucking serious. I had to register a family who had a child named 'Rape').
So does that mean they were a rape child?

I know a guy named He. His sister is named She.

Dear god, those parents are brilliant. That kid is going to make so many people pissed of, confused, and pissed off again...

It's like if my last name were 'Freeman' then I'd be obligated by moral law to name any boy I were to have 'Gordon' ... Then I'd promptly turn him into a mute.

OT: There's, apparently, a (black) girl at my school named l-ah. How do you think that's pronounced? le-ah? no. It's pronounced 'LE-DASH-UH' . Facepalm...

Wow. Creative parents, eh? I don't even want to consider the kind of names they give their pets.

Batman, if you guys haven't seen that page on Facebook, there was a guy who said he would name his kid batman if 500,000 people joined.
yeah, I joined the group, just to see if the bastard would follow through.

And also, a friend of a friend of mine is so entitled "Precious".... I'm serious...They all call him token though, because he's black, but not in a derogatory sense and he doesn't get pissed off about it. Fuck, I reckon I'd welcome anything rather that Precious.

Edit: I just remembered another one, this guy applied at my mum's work, his name was Hitler. His first name, was Hitler. No. Shit.

Sir.
Yes, I know someone who name their son Sir. I don't know if it's epic or epic fail, but damn is it funny to see teachers call a kid "Sir" as they struggle not to scream at the indignity.

edit: I feel a thin underlying layer of minor racism in this thread.

It's not just a name but stuff that gets to the VII or the IX. I mean can you not be more creative then name your child the same thing for 9 generations?
hey! Speaking as someone who has a name with a IV at the end of it I take exception to that. Technically I should be V but the first Thor had a different last name so we're all one number behind. So instead my nephew is Thor V.

Dick is a terrible name. Imagine what kids with that name go through in school.
Aaah, poor old Richard Head...

Anyway, the ones that annoy me are the ones that name their kids mangled versions of other names. Like "Antwon" when they mean "Antoine", and so on. It seems to be a primarily American thing, but the contagion is spreading... :-(

I heard of Mrs garden calling her daughter "rose"

I mean, ok, rose isn't a bad name, and garden isn't a bad second name, but surely you must have seen that coming

My parents didnt find this out for a month or two after i was born, but my initials are T.V. Phillips

If i ever have a daughter, im gonna call her Jade

Phuck, there was a kid named that in a school near mine. Can you imagine having roll call everyday?
