I was being subtle mate, it's a southern thing, you wouldn't understand.

DISCLAIMER: Before I get inundated with angry messages I'll point out Trebort and I know each other in real life.
As you constantly remind me, I can't be subtle to save my life... It's a northern thing :p

How about the assumption that I should meet a girl(or boy)/date/get engaged/get married/yadda yadda yadda. Seriously people, why can't anyone grasp that I think romance is a BAD IDEA! If a commitment this huge has a 50% or more failure rate, shouldn't that send up a warning sign that might as well say "THIS PROBABLY WON'T WORK, AND IF IT DOESN'T WORK, YOU'RE SCREWED"? But nooooo, everyone has to nag me about this "love" concept, when I have never heard something more trite. Then they act all surprised and horrified when their relationships fail and they wind up heartbroken. AGAIN.

Apparently I am one of the only humans who can see the pattern recognition in "If you let yourself be vulnerable, you are going to be hurt." This despite the fact that it seems to happen EVERY TIME! I don't think I've met a single person who hasn't been hurt when they put that amount of trust in people. Yes, I tried it myself, ONCE, when I was young and stupid. But I LEARNED MY LESSON! Why can't anyone else?

If you don't say much your slow/stupid ,you know what maybe I just don't have anything to say to you.

Also how all games seem to be about beating up hookers to get points or progress to the next level.

Also a stereotype going on here in Lebanon, that being smart and open-minded means I'm a loser. Why? I don't know, that's just how people think here.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Wait, that stereotype exists outside of the US.

If you are a bassist then you are a useless, talentless and pointless addition to any band. I usually hear it from guitarists who've been playing for 6 months and think they're hot shit.

Cliff Burton, Steve Harris and Victor Wooten are all deeply disapointed in them.
I respect bassists and drummers the most, because they add so much to the music, and take so much shit. All I know are "badass" guitarists who think metal is the only genre of good guitar playing, who can't play the actually difficult metal solos, then they write off rhythm as pointless. In short, I agree with you. Next time they talk shit tell them to grow a pair and play some flamenco music

Another guitar stereotype: No, I'm not a shredder just because I play well, I know more stuff than wanking around in the harmonic minor scale.

I don't like when people assume that a certain type of dog has to be a certain way, and that all asians are from china, but that ones kinda funny sometimes.

OT: "Rap is only for two-bit hasbeens and requires no talent." A lot of work and talent is needed to needed to get the flow, lyrics, and beats to mesh with each other. Rap goes beyond the radio, folks.

Mental illness means you are dangerous and feral. Annoys the hell out of me.

People claiming that a certain talent doesn't require skill. I hear this a lot with hip hop. "Bah, stupid rappers - no skill whatsoever!"

Oh really then? Well if there is no skill involved why don't you go and start being a rapper and make millions of dollars too? Muppet.

I know for a FACT that most girls can game!
to make a long Xbox Live story short. I kicked a guy's ass in Gears, I bragged, he got pissed, he got his girlfriend, I lol'd, then I fought back tears as she did horrible things to me.

That the French always surrender. Seriously, they have been fighting wars for a huge amount of their history, and then they surrender to germany in WW2, causing people to believe they always surrender for some reason. It's just stupid. No one ever makes fun of Poland, Italy, Germany, or Denmark, and they all surrendered! Also I don't like it when people say that graphics aren't important, because I'm sure that this is why Darkest of Days (one of my favorite games) wasn't taken as seriously as other games. I remember a review of it I saw on X-Play giving it a 1 out of 5, and the only reason I could find was "The graphics aren't good".
People make fun of the French for surrendering and not the polish, German, or Italians because Poland got its ass kicked in about a day, Germany got driven back to their capital by every major power while their leader killed himself, and Italy just kinda switched sides.
We make fun of those places for other things.
Um, once the Italians swapped sides almost everyone on the allied side wanted to fight them because they had a (Real) reputation for surrendering once the enemy got close enough.

Dude, nobody thinks that British people are smart.

OT: When I had long hair I got pissed off at everyone for thinking I'm a hippy. But now I get pissed off when people think that... well no I'm pretty much not bothered by people being judgmental anymore. I guess I'm not contributing.

America is always the good guy dispite being the most sinister nation on Earth.
Thats the only one I don't understand, how is America sinister (Also are you refering to the USA or actually america because people always get those confused)
(Yes I was refering to USA, my bad.)
I cannot think of another nation where the vast majority of the population bask in sin. America holds a huge percentage of evil goings on in the world, corruption and gang violence are prime examples. Yet in Films and Games the USA are depicted as the lawful good guys. I dont fully understand it.

But then again who cares? I dont.
This is actually another cliche I hate. The whole "The US is evil!" thing. Load of rubbish. For all the bad the US does (and it does do a lot) it provides an equal amount of good and it is a fantastic country to live in. It's full of gang violence? Yeah because parts of Asia, South/Central America and Eastern Europe aren't. Right?

And maybe films usually depict the US as the good guys because the majority of films are made in America. British film depicts British protagonists, so I can understand why American film depicts American protagonist.

Oh because you "can't think of another population where the vast majority of the population bask in sin" I'll provide you with a few:

-Haiti
-Sierra Leone
-Somalia
-Sudan
-Afghanistan
-Chechnya
-Uganda
-Liberia
-South Africa
-Pakistan
-Serbia

I can continue if you like?

And do you know what the worst part is? All those countries depict themselves as the good guys in their own cinema!!!!!!! WHAT!

Have you even been to the US before? Or do you get all your opinions from anti-American sources?

So it was only the Italians, not the Germans or Polish that stand beside the French?
And Italians have more of an opportunistic try to stay alive approach.

New Jersey stereotypes. Sure there are guidos here, but there's plenty of them in the city too. Not everyone in New Jersey is Italian, we're actually one of the most diverse states. And nobody talks like the God damned Sopranos.

Who the fuck shoved a freedom pole up your arse? Calm down. All I did was post my opinion on bad cliches, I dont like the Good USA or evil USA. But there are no films or games that I can think of that have America as a nutral country, USA is always one of the two extreams.
But to be honest, I really dont care anymore, can we please forget I said anything? Its just a chliche.

P.S. I have been to America, It was lovely but the food was a bit meh. Also I am not anti-American I quite like America, for all the bad it brings to the world, yes it does a whole lot of good.
