In most MMOs you might be told to collect 10 boar livers. Then you kill 10 boars and most of them don't have livers. What the fuck?! How the hell are these boars alive? What, are they using that fucking sword that they somehow seem to be carrying as a liver instead?!
It doesn't make any sense. A boar is carrying around some random magical trinket yet it doesn't have a fucking liver. One of the things I hate about MMO games.

Why the hell does a quest giver want a boar liver? And why does he need 10 of them?
He's hungry...

Also, the Master Chief can flip a 66 ton tank 20 feet into the air but can't hold an SMG still to save his life.

And why does the shotgun have less range than a sword on halo? :S
You lunge with the sword.

How in some games the concept of a flashlight is not fully grasped. You either cannot hold a gun AND a flashlight at the sme time, or in a game universe nobody has ever heard of duct tape, or if you can have out both at the same time the light only last about 60 secs before shutting off. Seriously game designers... it's just a fucking flashlight, has anyone ever heard of a flashlight that works perfectly for a minute and then has to shut off for 10 seconds to recharge?

Sword Fights

In movies the whole fight is about dodging the sword, and when you get stabbed, you are dead.

In games you can stab the boss 40 times, and they will barely be knocked out. If you want to kill them, you have to hit them in the "weak spot" 3-4 times.

I was going to post a link to the list of RPG stereotypes (there were several hundred listed, I never got a chance to read them all) but I can't find it. Damn you, google.

The fact that a freaking DRAGON has to have its health monitored by a totally irrelevant dragonfly, which, for some reason apparently has a spirit link with him and kills him when he dies. Furthermore, the same dragon can learn to breath lightning, fire, ice, branston pickle, and BUBBLES, yet he cant fly with his clearly developed wings.

Seriously Spyro, WTF man!?

How else are we going to measure how close we are to death? Otherwise one or two bullets and it'd be game over.

Suspend some disbelief, man. Damn.

Okay, something really bothered me in Fallout 3. I used the mesmetron to hypnotize a raider. While the raider was dazed, I placed a slave collar on the raider. For some reason, this gave me negative karma.

Why the fuck would forcing a raider into slavery give me negative karma? If anything it should give me positive karma.

I hope no one else has said it but WoW has achievments. And that in prototype you can consume and kill as many people as you want and no one cares but if you tap a military guy on the shoulder then the helicopters and tanks come after you.

The computer AI for Sheva in Resident Evil 5 on Professional is seriously stupid, since she fails to understand that when I stand right next to her "DYING", I'd prefer if she would use one of the multiple First-aid sprays she has in her inventory instead of shooting some random Majini who's standing a hundred yards away.
That seriously made me think that the game was broken.

And on the subject of RE5: that no matter if you have full health and both vests, every time something damages you it removes all of your health, making you fall into that wonderful status of "DYING".

The morph ball in Metroid Prime. How does samus fit into that, seeing as it's smaller than her helmet.

Invisible walls of any kind are annoying. I get spoiled if I play Katamari for too long and switch to another game.

Play Call of Duty 4 and Resistance 2 on the hardest setting, then get back to me.
