Fair enough. I didn't do anything for new year's eve, but I did go to a party the night before, so I'll recount that:triggrhappy94 said:That's not that bad. I've mixed weed and ambian. One hell of a night. Nazi zombies pretty much turned into an MC Esher painting with zombies. After a while I pretty much forgot what we were playing, because thought I was playing Call of Duty 2. I downed three cans of Dr. Pepper beofre I even noticed the first was empty and started eating plain tortillas.Fat_Hippo said:Mixing alcohol and weed = Really stupid. And the dumbest thing is: Not the first time. Hopefully the last time though. Will I ever learn?
OT:
Last night, the stupidest thing I did was nothing. It was a prety normal night for me.
That sucks. You'd think soldiers, people who have possibly lost squadmates, and had to take lives themselves would be more sympathetic due to experience when it happens to someone else?JoesshittyOs said:Well, some kid got killed next door so the neighborhood got shut down and locked up.
So instead of going out with my friends, we got in an Xbox live party and decided to take up our fun hobby of making fun of stupid people on facebook. Last night that stupid person was a guy who told grieving friends and family to "grow the fuck up" over the kid who got shot literally hours earlier, and think about all the soldiers who were dying.
I guess trying to talk sense into a stupid person and his 10 marine buddies was a dumb thing to do, but I enjoyed it. It was an enlightening experience.
Up until that point I'd barely question people in the military. Yeah, I don't agree with some of the conflicts we get into, but I always assumed that the soldiers in the uniforms were doing this with the best intentions.binnsyboy said:That sucks. Hell, I am NOT going to be like those cunts when I join the Royal Marines...
Well I don't know about America (I'm just assuming you meant the US Marine Corps when you talked about those guys) but here in Britain, there's a buddy system. Within your squad, you're paired off with one guy with similar likes/dislikes and such, so even if my whole squad were dicks (which I don't think they would be) I'd still have the one guy I got along with great.JoesshittyOs said:Up until that point I'd barely question people in the military. After seeing the posts that some of them were making, I realized that a few too many only joined because of the glory and how they get to use a gun. They didn't care about the people they were supposedly protecting.
I also wish to join the armed forces after my brother who did a few tours, but I really questioned that decision last night. Not sure if I could deal with that kind of behavior on a day to day basis.
