Your cats can't judge you because they don't even understand what you're doing. It's not compassion, it's ignorance. And now that you mention it, I can see the friendship of the hobo and the dog, but I still don't feel like giving them a hug.

I never said it was compassion now did I? Don't put words in my mouth thank you very much.

It isn't ignorance either, he just can't make that judgement, and I love him for it. Simple creatures who just crave my attention no matter who I am or what I do or don't do with my life. He wants me and the attention I give him, and he's a perfect outlet for me wanting to give someone attention.

Because of that he's a warm companion, one I needed in many dark days and probably many dark days still ahead of me. As such, anything but pointless.

My brother bought two plane tickets to California and one ticket from California spending over $500 to visit/fly out his girlfriend so he could get laid.

Been there, done that. Playing a "road game" isn't just about the sex, though---I've traveled to places I've never been, seen things I haven't seen, and just happened to have sex with a girl while there. It's better than a regular vacation.
