I... honestly don't remember the last time someone actually insulted me. I guess that's a good thing.

Though, in the past I had to deal with it alot, specifically having people insult me for what I chose to enjoy. Personally, I think doing that is really stupid. There's just no reason to insult people because of what they like. They ought to just be left alone, you know?

Once for being Asian.
Mind you, I'm only half Asian, my father is Irish/Italian and my mother is Thai/Chinese.
I'm just as American as anybody else, born and raised here all my life. I don't get the train of thought that goes into that remark.
I am going with being Asian too. Mind you I am not even half Asian I am half French 1/4 German 1/4 English. Although my family has been in this country for well ever so that is all family decent.

Well, in Australia, we have a group of people we call 'bogans'. Feral, pretty uneducated, voice like a dying cat. They like to insult people they've never met as they walk past them. From the stories in this thread, I'd say they're the Aussie version of a chav.

I've had many insults thrown at me just for being, well, not them, I guess. Once, I was walking past three people. Two bogan looking guys (you get to the point that you can pick 'em by appearance, they're like sheep) and a girl from the high school I used to go to. As I walk past them, one of the guys looks at me, makes a noise in what is their best down syndrome impersonation, and walked stupid. I think it was to imply that I'm stupid, but all it did was make him look like a dumbass. As I walked away, I was satisfied to hear the girl punch him and say "Stop it!"

My friend was walking past a group of them once, and they wanted to insult him so badly but had nothing to say, so they shouted "Nice walking." I'm serious. I don't get these people.

[sup][sup][sup][sup]Thankfully, most of them will kill themselves in a car crash by age 30. Another one of their hobbies.[/sup][/sup][/sup][/sup]

Someone else who actually likes Bring Me the Horizon?! I salute you, good sir.

Reminds me, I was wearing a BMTH shirt while walking down one of the main streets of the city of Adelaide, and some guy who was walking past shouted back at me "Bring Me the Horizon? More like Bring Me the Ass!"

Well, at least he came out of the closet so publicly. It's funny when homophobes insult themselves.

1- Being a girl.
This one has many facets, I've been insulted for not acting girly enough, for playing games, for being a nerd, for saying no to sending people I dont know over the internet my picture. Stuff like that. Its strange, IRL I am more likely to get insulted by non-nerds for being a nerdy girl, and nerdy guys are really nice to me but on the internet its pretty much the other way round.

2- Having divorced parents.
A teacher of mine was just pretty much mental about this. She constantly referred to me as being from a `broken home`, and predicted I would go to prison or die young because my parents were selfish and divorced.
?...

damn..that sucks, I dont think Ive ever been insulted for being a girl and liking geeky things (mabye a few times by my sister...and in highschool I wasnt geeky)

Short version: For not doing my shoes up the right way. >_>

Explanation: A few of us were at a friends place, and as we were leaving we of course had to put our shoes back on. I started last since I was still talking to people in the house, and hence was distracted from the task.

Finally I started after everyone had finished. People around me were talking, just hanging out while I did my thing. We weren't in any hurry, but as I was doing my first shoe up, one of my friends noticed how I was tying my shoes, started exclaiming that I tie my shoes in a ridiculous manner and was taking too long, and then proceeded to throw insults about my shoe-tying system, while convincing me to let her do my shoes up for me because I really was taking far too long.

Confused, I stood up and let her tie my shoes as the rest of my friends and I exchanged amused, yet very confused looks.

After all that, she ended up taking longer to do up my shoelaces than I normally would.

To this day I still don't know if she was just having a bad day and needed to yell about something, anything, or if the reason is something else entirely that I just can't comprehend... But yeah. If this doesn't count as a stupid reason, it certainly falls into the category of oddest reason. :S

Yeah. Never understood the hate for them because I dislike most 'scene' bands but I love BMTH.
