The stupidest i can think of is when china banned football manager 05' for portraying Tibet as a country. China does a lot of stupid stuff but cmon'!

Your article is wrong, Australia really DID ban small breasts.
... And most videogames... And plastic display weapons... Aaaaand wooden display weapons.
Besides that its openly gay-bashing, zealously religious to the point they imitate the states and not to forget the many many natural disasters...
The only upside would be Steve Irwin... But he's dead now.
LOL, not sure which part of Australia you visited, if you have done so at all but this certainly isnt the Australia I know. Our elected leader of the country is an atheist, as is a very large percentage of the population so im not sure where your zealously religious idea comes from. And if you are referring to Christianity I think you will find that this particular group of religions did not originate in the states but rather Europe and the Middle East..

On the topic of weed and alcohol...
HAVE YOU EVER WORKED IN A RESTAURANT/GAS STATION?!! Stoners/drunks are a f*ucking MENACE! Useless human beings inflicting their stupidity on everyone around them. It is a waste of money, gets you banned from everything open after 6pm because you are a public nuisance, and if a vehicle is involved someone could be killed... I could go on for hours so I'll stop there. Just please drink/smoke in the privacy of your own home.

On topic, I'd have to go with South Park episode 201. They censored out a speech that promoted freedom of speech even though they DIDN'T show Mohammad. They did say his name though...

My God, that's terrible! I'm a fan of all sized breasts!
Except gargantuan, those are just weird
I like to think that 'gargantuan' is an official size.

Some peeps just wanna get high. Ain't nuthin wrong with that
I think this is a good one, personally I've started smoking it in the last week and my life has not been at all affected badly. I've made more friends started talking to females... I've not had a flare up from my anxiety in weeks and I definitely have a good time when I smoke it.

Don't even feel bad the next morning :)

I remember, the year I left secondary school, they banned hugs... You would get suspended for hugging another. Catholic education amirite?
Also, King Kong. King Kong (the original) was banned until the 90's if I recall. I assume it's because they just forgot it was banned.

argh, someone beat me to posting this one.
okay, seriously, WTF is with that, besides the simple fact that it's Australia?
We didn't ban anything, it was just a rumor.
http://www.crikey.com.au/2010/01/29/has-australia-really-banned-small-breasts/
I'm actually relieved, despite my apathy towards A's (not exactly my favorite size)
to be honest though, it doesn't sound completely like something Australia would do...
I just lost my train of thought, but I was about to name a country that would.
although it does sound like something america would do. after all, we did make an amendment for the constitution banning alcohol on a 'moral' basis.

not really a ban but parents were asked not to feed their elementary school peanuts/peanut butter 24-48hrs of entering the school because some kids with a peanut allergy might come into contact the kid that ate it (through microscopic traces, not kidding) and fall ill.

I also think a bar owner should be allowed to own a bar that caters to smokers. Not excluding anyone, just put a disclaimer "smokers allowed, those who do not want be around smokers should frequent another bar". I don't smoke but it must suck to go outside/ force patrons to go outside in crappy weather because the law doesn't allow it.

Ummmm, it's kind of a police state that doesn't acknowledge the existence of Tibet. Fascist, yes, stupid, no.
The term you are looking for is dictatorship, fascist is a right wing concept. China are a communist country, in other words on the opposite end of the political spectrum (left wing)
Yeah, I was using fascist in the colloquial "government doing bad stuff sense." Not technically historically accurate. Oppressive or police state would have been a better word. I think the point is still valid. It is not surprising or "stupid" that China would ban an in-game reference to Tibet.

Alcohol in the 20's

Search your feelings, you know it to be true
I never drank once nor plan on it.
I don't drink either, but prohibition was still a moronic idea
Not so much a much a moronic idea, as something that should be covered by common sense, along with smoking, and all drugs used for less then medical purposes, quite honestly common sense dictates that which deludes the functions cognitive or otherwise is an unendingly foolish venture, ignorance be the name of pleasure goers that forsake their own lives as well as the lives of anyone that just happens to be within their reach for their own fun.

"The Good die young, but Assholes live forever" you know you've heard it, and you know its true, by why is it true?

because Assholes live their lives at the expense of others, effectively ruining everyone else's lives for their own pleasure and or longevity.

I'd say Mein Kampf in Germany. Understandable? Perhaps, but what makes it so stupid is the sheer irony of things. Banning books was exactly the thing the Nazi's themselves did. And what's Germany doing now to shelter itself against that past? That's right, banning a book.

Soooo it's illegal to sell, import and even own Mortal Kombat in some states over there thanks to a legal loophole?

Yes. The problem is that there isn't a classification that goes as high as R rating.

There have been banned games before, but l4d2 wasn't one of them, and it has little to do with the current games that were refused classification.. The government didn't say "This game is a moral travesty, ban". The government did nothing and the ratings board, rightly, rated the game as R18+. The problem being that when the ratings for games were created, they didn't include a R18 rating.
You see what I'm getting at here?

The government isn't acting as moral arbiter, and Michael Atkinson was only able to do what he did because of a strange requirement involving needing 100% consent from attorney generals.

Sneaky indeed. I can see how that leads to a practical ban of selling it, but I don't see how that makes importing and even owning the product illegal as well. It's especially the latter I have real troubles with. I know that it's not the same in every state, but that sounds so severe that it suggest it's not just thanks to a legal loophole.

Australia. It's amazing how a country stereotyped to have a "No worries" attitude is going bat shit crazy over mere games

school is a big fucking waste of my time since I seriously cannot get 1/10th of my assignments done there.
If you can't do your work, find other stuff to do, and do the work later :p One of the things I used to do in boring/useless lessons was draw stuff or practice drawing stuff.
As I got my work done on time, the teachers didn't really pay attention if I was dossing about a bit lol.
