Sneaky indeed. I can see how that leads to a practical ban of selling it, but I don't see how that makes importing and even owning the product illegal as well. It's especially the latter I have real troubles with. I know that it's not the same in every state, but that sounds so severe that it suggest it's not just thanks to a legal loophole.
I believe (it hasn't been tested, nor would the government bother to start a case about it) that it is legal to import said games to australia.

Some games however, I think have been banned outright, even to just own a copy. Left 4 dead 2 is not one of them, But I think manhunt was.

Edit - Oops, looks like I was wrong, apparently customs can destroy it on import. I guess I have to revise my view on it a bit then. :p

Not that it matters for me, I just buy via steam anyway.

Knowing me, you would expect me to say "any ban on something that isn't directly harming someone against their will". But, while that's how I feel, I have a specific example in mind.

My old highschool blocked everything on school computers and internet, as expected from highschools. They, however, went overboard.

On the internet side, there was apparently a war going on at the central office downtown (which controls the internet blocks for all city schools) about wikipedia. Every other week, wikipedia was blocked. I can understand blocking audio/video sites, forums, games, and all that, but wikipedia?

In addition to that, all computers used the Novell client with very limited access to programs. You had office, calculator, and IE6. That was literally it. It was easy to get around, but there were instances where people in a computer class were given detention for playing minesweeper in class after finishing their work.

Didn't they ban Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs from the United States on the grounds that "It's like hiding something within something else, so it teaches kids about contraband".

If not that reason then for some other reason. I just know I heard that they banned them.

It was because of the toy inside.
American kids barely bother to get their candy out of the wrapper before eating it. The idea of candy with a toy in it would not process, and while their corpses were still warm, their parents would scream hysterically until the headlines shouted "GERMAN TERRORISTS KILL YOUR CHILDREN WITH BOOBYTRAPPED CANDY!".
In their attempts to profit, parents would forcefeed their children Kinde Eggs until the courts ruled that parents should read the fucking label before giving their children candy. But it would be too late. The corpses of children would litter the ground by the hundreds, and overcome with remorse, their parents would lynch chocolate retailers in the streets to forget their own shame.

Then, the headlines would come alive again. First in the tabloids, then the major papers. "GOVERNMENT CONSPIRING WITH NAZIS TO DESTROY OUR FREEDOM!!!". To avoid a revolution, the government would have to go to war. First by banning all German imports, and forcing their allies to do the same. Then, by inserting covert teams of Navy SEAL's along the coast, ordered to infiltrate the German population to incite and arm a rebellion.
When thatt failed, they would have to start bombing military targets.
The conflict would be a short affair, with relatively low civilian casualties, but still, mistakes are made...

But fed up with war, the population of the US would come to their senses, trying to wash their hands of the matter. Soldiers would return to their homes, hated and reviled. In the time that followed, thousands of soldiers struck by poverty and PTSD would turn to crime or commit suicide.
In the big picture, the German-American war, or "WWII 2" would not be more than a paragraph in most history books, but it would be a badge of shame upon a nation, an end to Hassehoffs career, and far to big a price to pay for sub-par chocolate and dinky toys.

The simple fact you'd use a religious slander to label yourself as a free minded individual proves quite the contrary.

Yep.
the simple fact that i am stating what is true in my life and you being ignorant of that proves you are a dumbass.
Great comeback, reinforced your error and proved yourself of ill wit in response, need I even ponder a retort? Naw, just naw.

My photography class is banned from carrying our cameras on campus. If we get caught we get suspended for a few days...

IF that was my school, I'd demand that the school sports team are treated equally and not allowed to bring their bodies onto campus. Anyone else doing any class shouldn't be allowed any writing materials or books, until they realise they're being utterly fuckwitted.

Just curious, have they banned all cellphones, as most of them have a camera nowadays. Also what is the reason? As 'privacy' is just dumb, with the proliferation of CCTV nowadays. At most, I'd just ask students to carry a pile of release slips, and get anyone photographed to sign a release slip to cover the photos use for class purposes only.

You are not American. You read the instructions even if they are not ten feet tall, and your instinct when within ten feet of chocolate is not to pounce on it and devour it whole with your giant American maw. Also, the plastic capsule is plenty big enough to choke on.
