Thats right, those nut bells in the tin hats are wrong once more.
Remember back to the craze of people claiming that Earth was going to fall to the comet, Elenin? Well, neither do I, but guess what, they were
wrong.
Elenin will make its closest aproach to Earth on a speculative date of October 16th.... If any is left, of course. How close is about 22. million miles. What will rain down will be a small amount of debris instead of a largely intact comet. [sub] read down below for why.[/sub] And its leftovers AFTER THAT will return in 12 million years or so.
Plenty of theories about how this wimpy little comet could wipe us out is quite laughable. The comet itself was quite small, and wasn't even all that bright. These words can be used to describe all conspiracy theorists, but none the less.
1. It most likely lost a lot of mass from just space travel, along with its close encounter with the sun of September 10th. Even stepping as far as to have to deal with gigantic solar storm in August.
This simply means that we avoided a .0000001% chance of armagedon on a hundred million scale.
