I have effectively acquired a SNES, and I have Chrono Trigger. So any other recommendations? Whats your favorite SNES game? Why? Etc?

EDIT: I'm a bit confused about Final Fantasy 6 and Final Fantasy 3...... are they like the same game, or what?

Chrono Trigger's definitely the best thing you could have gotten on there, but there's plenty of other good games out there, like Super Mario All-Stars, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Final Fantasy II and III to name a few.

Yoshi's Island (Super mario world 2): Just because it's the first Yoshi game....
Enough said... Still one of the hardest games to 100% complete anyway...

It's like any other mario platformer really.... except you can hover for a while before dying... Because you'll die a lot on the later levels... Especially for 100%

What the above three said (especially about Yoshi's island, ugh) as well as Super Mario RPG. The precursor to the Paper Mario games, and in my opinion, much better. And more original.

Earthbound! I'll say its a better game and RPG than Chrono Trigger, and I will fight anyone who disagrees with me.

Some more personal favorites I haven't seen listed above:
Super Mario Allstars (Its every Mario game in 1. What else must I say?)
Donkey Kong Country (I prefer the first one simply for nostalgia)
The Lion King/Aladdin: Back when movie tie ins were good!
Mortal Kombat 2

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. It is the best beat'em up that I've ever played.

One game I've been running through nostalgia lane with is Super Ninja Boy. It's rather brutal, so abuse that save-state option a lot if you can. But it's one of the few co-op RPG games out there. It's like Final Fantasy, but then the battle system switches to a side-scroller brawler like Double Dragon.

Final Fantasy II is actually Final Fantasy IV, and Final Fantasy III is actually Final Fantasy VI. Get them.

Also Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid. All are must-haves in my opinion.

Actraiser (the first one) was a pretty fun game I played through quite a few times.

Super Mario World is absolutely fantastic. It's pretty much like the NES Mario games only it has tons of more content/secrets and a real sense of progression towards a goal, something that the older Mario games (and even some today) lack. And this isn't nostalgia talking; I got into video games during the N64 era. I only played Super Mario World a few years ago (2009-ish) and I absolutely loved it then as I do now.

Secret of Mana 1&2
1 & 2? o_O What games are you talking about?

Seiken Densetsu 2 (ie. Secret of Mana) had a sequel, Seiken Densetsu 3, which was never released outside of Japan.
Also, there was Secret of Evermore, but that only uses Seiken Densetsu 2's engine.

So, I'm not sure what you're referring to as Secret of Mana 2... However, Secret of Mana is definitely worth playing.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
Megaman Soccer, I freaking love that game, if I still had my SNES I'd be playing that all the time.

People already said it, but I can't recommend Secret of Mana more and of course Super Mario RPG.
