Have you ever done something, anything, that ended in something epic that came out of nowhere like did you to a test and you thought you did OK but it ended up with you doing brilliantly in it or play a FPS and ended up in an epic gun fight.

for me one of my pokemon got HP+19 in a level up anyone who plays pokemon can see how epic this is but for everyone else it won't have any effect.

ummm, i wouldn't have thought of it if you hadn't mentioned tests, but since you did...
way back in high school, i took the AP English exam. on the essay portion, i accidentally double spaced, not realizing it said not to double space. at that point i figured i'd just bombed, but there was nothing i could do about it. but, when i got my results back a month or so later, i found out i was one of three people in our city who got a 5 that year (which is a perfect score, for those who don't know). apparently i lucked out and whoever graded my essay portion wasn't a "Read the Instructions" Nazi.

also, i once climbed a frozen waterfall, and didn't realize it until i got to the top. so, technically, i'm exaggerating to call it a "fall" because it wasn't perpendicular, but it was still fairly steep. and calling it a "frozen waterfall" makes for a much better story :p

I survived a massive concussion that I was told should have killed me out right. Apparently, my brain hemorrhaged so extensively that it should have simply fallen apart. Instead, it healed up fine, and I can still breath without a machine.

A doctor recently looked at a new MRI scan and compared it to the one taken after my accident, and told me he wouldn't believe they came from the same person if he hadn't seen it himself.

Epic life saving win.

One time while playing Sorry! with my seven year-old niece and my mom I went from being way behind (three of my pawns stuck in start and one in my safe zone and my mo and niece had three pawns in their home spots) and somehow pulled out a win, though I will admit that most of that came from luck.
And another time, during a game of scrabble (using the nine-tile variation) I made a seven letter word ,a big accomplishment by itself, using the 'Q' tile and hitting two triple word score squares. I tripled the word score, tripled it again, then had fifty points added (that's 140 points just from the 'Q' tile alone)

As a matter of fact, yes.

Just last semester I took a condensed pre-calculus course to bump me up from the applied math I took in high school. I missed like 5 classes and didn't study for a single test. I actually ended up with an A+ in the class at the end. Keep in mind, this is the same class I was forced to drop out of in high school.

I was actually really impressed with myself.

The Serenity roleplay system.

I've been playing it a while, and it seems that the best tactics in battle are "do something crazy awesome".

Quite appropriate for the setting, I think.

Playing Medal of Honor. An older one, forgot the name. But I was doing 1v1 against my friend.

He was camping in a church's bell tower so I lobbed a nade up. At the same time he decided to jump out the window I through the nade into. For the next 5 minutes we were trying to grab his equipment that was floating in the air in front of the window.

Botmatches in CS:S.

Two bots standing back to back, partially clipped into each other, taking down your entire team of bots in CS_Militia? Amazing. Hordes of bots rushing each other? Epic.

It's a pretty awesome experience.

Hang on, I've been playing Pokemon for years. What's so great about a HP+19 in a level up?

Have you ever looked (and paid attention to) the stat-increase pop-up when a pokemon levels? Twos are most common. You can get threes and MAYBE a four. But a nineteen?

That shit be crazy yo.

EDIT: Ninja'd right out from under me...

What did you DO to get that HP though?

I haven't played Pokemon since Red/Blue, but I can never remember being able to influence your levels in such a way. What have the changed?

well EV's are obtained by defeating a pokemon I was fighitn lv 2-4 bidoof which give you 1hp EV and I was holding an item that gives you 4 more HP EV's 20 battles later (100 EV's) I levelled him up and he gained +19 HP.

Silent Hill 3.

I completed the game on extreme action level 2. I got the max stars for enemy's killed & I only died once! I was so close to beating the whole game without dying...
(I hate the Borley Mansion)

Ah, I see. Pokemon is starting to get crazy

I googled it, and it seems the max HP gain for one level is 70.

Nintendo, you crazy bastards.

I don't do much epic stuff, so it's probably got to be a really lucky turn playing Warhammer 40k against 2 friends.

The turn before, I had deepstruck in a squad of bloodletters next to their squad of Tactical Marines. This turn I DS in a Herald of Tzeentch on a Chariot with Breath of Chaos and Gift of Chaos next to Lucius the Eternal with a Noise Marine cohort.
That turn, I killed the entire unit of Tactical Marines and Lucius the Eternal without taking a single wound. I then proceeded to decimate half their army while only losing about 5 guys. They gave up because my ally wasn't even halfway across the table and playing as Orks.

Now that you mention it, no.
