Apart from being identified geek, but nowadays it's mostly positive things you get out of that. I believe I was blessed by being surrounded by accepting people, however.

I don't think it is a good thing, it pigeonholes people into a certain stereotype and, as well, it prevents people from meeting and associating with different types of people. I, personally, could not imagine a world so boring.

I fail to see how it was impolite. I'm not sure what high school was like for you, but it's not some clique fest where I live. I'll talk to anyone, be friends with anyone (well you know, as long as they're not total jerks), and I think that's how most people live. We're all people, there's no need to segregate a large group of people into stereotypical labels, because they're mostly inaccurate. That cheerleader may be an honors and AP student with just as many friends in the "nerd" group as in the "popular" crowd. That emo may hang out with jocks more than people that dress like him. This is stuff I see all of the time

I have friends in every single one of the supposed "cliques". Who you hang out with says really nothing about who you are. I have friends that I really have few common interests with and probably don't agree with on some things. But we can talk about our classes that we share, or movies, or whatever. I don't separate myself from anyone, and no one should. And I highly doubt this is just a random instance, I think it's more common than you think.

There may be some small true cliques out there, but I don't think that they're really prevalent. That's why this survey won't work, there are way too many "No"s in the survey.

Everyone in high school is in a clique, whether or not they think it. If you don't put yourself in a clique, then some one else does.

Sweet, people can assign whatever label they want to me. I'll just go on ignoring them because they're obviously immature jerks.

Nope, though 'emo' is an insult to everyone in my year. Don't know if that counts though, since no one in my grade is actually identified, nor identifies themselves, as 'emo'. Wait, I suppose the term 'lad' and 'rebel' are also used, but it's more of a joke than an actual labelling. It all depends on context, but it can be used as an insult.
No, but then, I'd get along better with my friends than with those I'm not too close with. It's not that they're not part of my 'clique' (you know, a definitiont would be welcome...), but that they aren't my friends, but just acquantances.
Often in jest (eg. "Yeh, I'm a nerd."), but it's not exactly held against me, or caused any sort of segregation. I suppose it's easier to label me as such, but, like I said, it's often not in a serious tone.
Nope, though I have been called a 'nerd' (it's more to do with beating the guy in a test, and less being labelled as such).
I'm impartial, but that's because it doesn't affect me in life, and I haven't really experienced it.

In the workplace, as in school, people tend to clump up. One term for such clumps is clique. I do think I am a part of a clicque at work, though I lack a proper name for it. For lack of a better word, I would say that I am part of a loosely defined 'geek' clique. There is a gamer clicque at work, by the way, but I am not part of it.

We don't hang out in the same way people do in school. The smokers have a specific area, and the gamers tend to monopolize the breakroom, which has a 360 and a plasma TV in it. Other than that, your desk is your desk.
