Where do you live (you don't need to be specific), and when was the last time you swore (perhaps also why you did it, if you can remember)? Feel free to add when the last time you heard various family members and/or friends swear was, if you want to provide a more varied sample.
I live in California

I never swear, I find it to be rather pointless and stupid honestly... Plus it's always fun to call some swear-happy imbecile a "Blistering Idiot" and see how long it takes him to realize he was just insulted

Last time I heard a family member swear..?
About 5 minutes ago... apparently taking 7 classes (average is 5) and getting 6 A's and 1 D isn't quite good enough, even though the D is in a class where everything is group related and the other 2 members of my group ditch/cut every day swamping me with work

Swearing isn't really that special, it's just a conservative bias against some arbitrarily chosen words, wich grants them a transgresive effect when uttered. Kids enforce it out of fear, anyone older censoring themselves are inmature or retards, and people getting offended by them, well, don't even ask. I'm from Chile BTW, and in South America in general, you pretty much can't express yourself without it.

I live in canada, more specifically in victoria, last time i swore was, yesterday, of course I haven't said ANYTHING since yesterday, so that would explain why today's expletive library is as yet unfilled... but yeah I swear often, and sometimes a lot all at once, I go from casually swearing, to going off like a clumsy one eyed epileptic carpenter with terrets who just smashed his thumb with a hammer for the 300th time that day... yeah... It is possible to swear THAT much, but times when I feel the need to swear to that extent are few and far between, so I mostly just swear a fair ammount due to the company I keep, and the people I work for and with.

I live in Arizona and I swore about an hour ago. I was at work and the computers there are incredibly slow and it's an act of God if you want to do anything productive right after you turn them one. It's amazing how no one bothers to ask what's wrong when they hear 'Goddamn it, hurry the fuck up will you!' Which was what happened.

My parents yesterday when I met up with them for dinner, they swear regularly, and I swear more than they do, which I think is somehow weird.

I'm from the Netherlands, and the strange thing is we're so used to english movies, music and literature we use a lot of english swearing. It makes it sound less rough when swearing in another language, so words like shit, f*ck, an' things involving your mother are pretty standard and not considered real bad.

On the other hand, in our own language we like to throw diseases around, along the lines of " I hope u get 'disease of choice' " and it can get pretty rowdy.
I myself try to reserve it for when it's worth it, but lately when I feel pissed I just throw it out. Better than just building up tension inside you.

Well at first, I didn´t want too swear, or at least, to not go to far with it, I mean I love swearing but there are limits, the thing is, if all your friends say it frequently (or even 1 person) it gets into your system.

I swear very rarely- either as a rather severe form of emphasis (and even then its mostly just bloody or bugger) or when Im especially angry (but Im more likely to just go on a rather wordy rant)

Im from the southwest of England, in a small pocket of an extremely posh town in a very rustic and rural area.

Here in Finland, amidst my age class swearing is a regular, normal form of communication. Unless you begin your sentence with either "Fuck!" or "Shit!", you will be ignored.

This however raises problems as you never know when someone is threatening/insulting you for realz. That's why you need to use imagination, like: "I will rip your throat wide open, reach in and grab your large intestine, and make it into a bowtie I will use when i rape your mother at your funeral." Or something like that.

I probably swear at least once every two days.

I swear all the time when I'm not in the presence of other people. That is to say, I only swear either in my head or to myself when there's no one around.

When I'm with people I'm a lot more stoic. And even when I'm on the internet I try to keep my swearing as low as possible.

though I live in a medium where swearing is dominant in conversations, I do refrain myself from it. I only use "light" insults like "idiot", "moron" etc. (I use the term "light" because that's what they are for me; you don't want to hear the really bad ones used here).
so yeah, even those kept to a minimum, it gives me a smug satisfaction to (not) do this

Don't you swear in Finnish there? D:

Here in England swearing is pretty much part of speech. My dad doesn't really swear much however whenever my mum does she will always say "Excuse my French", that always used to confuse me when I was a little kid because I thought words like crap and shit were French.

New York, and the last time I swore was about an hour ago playing Bad Company 2. I generally try not to swear, but for some reason when I play video games, I just swear naturally.

If I meet a group of friends, I'll always great them with an insult.
Todays was "If it isn't the four cunts and a piano" (you know like the 4 poofs and a piano from Jonathan Ross?). Anyway, it didn't really work as there were only 2 of them and no piano.

I'm from Northern Ireland and we love to swear.
