So...more paranoia now. The government said classes (as in school) have been stopped nationwide but apparently this thing does not include yet to laboral activities.
The World Health Organization (Orgabizacion Mundial de la Salud) has raised Mexico's level from 3 to 4, from six. The level refers to a risk of pandemic, from what I understand.
Oh, and apparently there's 20 more registered cases in NY(sorry New York), apparently in students from Queens College.
Fun fact:
An epidemic is a disease that propagates for a period of time across a country, affecting a large number of people, and according to the UN, a pandemic is a disease of that same magnitude that affects more than one country, apparently.
Hey my roomie is visiting family down in Obregon, Sonora. are there any breakouts there?
I'm not sure. What I can say about Sonora is that there have been 3 accounted deaths in the state as of yesterday. And I'd be wary of using the word breakout as of now.
What I want to stress is that I don't think there is motive for an alarm of this scale yet. While the government is acting all weird and shit, and now even the cnema theaters are getting into it, and a big chain of cinemas in the capital isn't even showing movies now. The horror, I know.
So, yeah, things are getting a wee bit on the paranoid side over here.
I'll keep ya guys posted straight from the horse's mouth if more strange stuff happens. This may not be our beloved zombie apocalypse, but I figure this is the closest I'll ever get to one.
Bummer, I know.
