"Yeah, well i'm full of surprises." Said Athgar."What,oh this?" Athgar flipped the sketch pad back to the drawing of the tower."This tower i sketched...A long time ago,it appeared in a dream. In the dream my mother and father we're at the top of the tower fighting off the advancing forces.I had this dream several times:I would fight my way to the top of the tower,it had about 4 floors,i could see my parents and then a strange creature from the darkness appeared from nowhere and engulfed the tower in a black mist.I jump off the tower and just when i was about to land...I wake up.I had this dream several times at the mages college...I never really told anyone about this." Athgar looked at the sketch and gripped the sketch pad.

"Hmmmm, might I ask whatever happened to your parents? Prodjecting oneself into ones dreams is not uncommon. I have heard that living out memories long gone is possible in dreams. Or it can just be some random thing that you have given way to much thought. Probably the latter."
Drogon dropped his voice a little, going into a more careful tone.
"Dreams have never been strenght of mine anyways. Ask some other mage, wisewoman or gypsy for such things. Or anyone that dreams for that matter."

"They died when i was a child,in the war.I don't feel like consulting an old woman who claims she can see my future because of some silly dream." Athgar flipped through the notebook once more when a few peculiar sketches could be seen:A broken sword,a wooden house in the forest and a pendant.Athgar closed the sketch pad and asked "So what was that argumet you and Aaron had?"

"Oh that. I tried to discuss magic with Aaron. While he is a skilled mage, he is just a bit narrow minded. Most likely a result from taking the vulcan doctorines to seriously. He has a good grasp of magic the tool, but little understanding of magic the art. He sees himself as a carpenter, and spells are his tools. See myself as a painter, and I use no tools. My paint is magic, and the world my canvas. I also try to discuss the basics of magic with him, the energy that holds everything together. The energies that flow from nothing onto everything. Then he desides to put on a great fireworks show and declare himself a magical genious and angrily run away."

"I've met enough mages in my travels to know that every mage has his own style and "grasp" of magic. You view it as art,he views it as a tool.I for one view it as a bag of convenient tricks i can use to defend myself with.I actually wanted to ask you something concerning the crystals that were given to us.I feel like my magical power is being...Drained when i hold it.What about you, does the crystal have any effect on you?"

Drogon dragged the mysterious crystal from its resting place and held it in his hand. It was deep blue in coulour, and seemed to steal the light that hit it, making it not shine but more radiating of magic.
"Yes I have in fact felt a effect from the crystal. It is as warm as my palm, yet it feels cold. Every nerve tells you it's freezing, but you know that it's not. And that is only the physical effect. I feel it distressing me. It feels harmful, in ways words can not describe. It feels like a shard from a devil lords crown, yet I know that it just a crystal. This thing is death."

"When we were walking i tried to toss the thing away but i...Couldn't.It's like the crystal had weakened me.So i put it in my backpack and i felt fine, relieved in fact that i was no longer holding it.I really don't like where this is heading..." Athgar looked into the distance.

Aaron looked Gnurlon up and down, gauging him. He seemed friendly enough "My name is Aaron, you are Gnurlon yes? How are those spears working out for you?"

Rena watched as everyone seemed to be conversing with one another. Giggling, she lowered her elevation a little bit so she would be able to hear the majority of them. Eavesdropping had paid off with fun info once already, so maybe others would have fun stuff to hear as well!

"They fried me when they got electrocuted, but other than that? They are great, I love the added weight. Thanks for the present." Gnûrlon winked at Aaron. Gnûrlon remembered Aarons strange robe.

"Aaron, I thought only vulcans wore those kind of robes. How did you acquire it?" Gnûrlon said while pointing at Aarons attire.

"When I was young my village was raided, Gnurlon. I met a pair of traveling Vulcans who took me in and raised me as their own. I don't even know if my parents or friends are still alive. I've been looking for them for a long time, ever since I left Mt. Vulkan even."

Aaron trailed off, "So how much control does Albin have, exactly?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow

Time just flew by for sorael as he ignored the conversations that were going on around him. "We should almost be there by now." Sorael thought to himself as he checked his surroundings. It has almost been a day since they had started walking and they were within five miles of Newbridge. Sorael had this feeling that someone was following them for the past few hours that he just couldn't shake off.

Sorael felt the presence get closer and he suddenly took out his spear and stopped the group suddenly. "We are being followed." Sorael said softly as the group looked at him. "WHO EVER YOU ARE COME OUT! I KNOW THAT YOU'VE BEEN FOLLOWING US!" Sorael shouted suddenly.

Malyc had a feeling that not all was as it should be. He finally realized why when Soreal turned and shouted "WHO EVER YOU ARE COME OUT! I KNOW THAT YOU'VE BEEN FOLLOWING US!". Malyc drew his blade and prepared to meet whatever might show up.

Rena gasped as she heard Sorael saying that they were being followed before calling out to them. She didn't know how they had slipped past her recon, yet again, but she was getting a little annoyed at that fact. She was definitely going to beat up whoever was making a fool of her!

Burrowing beneath the ground was a dirty, tiring job, but it was no sweat for the likes of Terrus. Soil and stone were casually pushed aside as he was clearing a path before him; crawling in the near dark, his wings lighting the tunnel some. His magic aided in a pinch, a rather large pinch at that, but he did a good portion of the work with his hands. Frequently, the Fae stopped, bringing his face close to the floor or walls, sniffing at the thick soil and clay. In his most recent stop, he caught a whiff of something really peculiar - a group of people above.

"'Urry up," A voice spoke softly from behind; his twin brother, Arborus, was crawling with him. "We can't be dawdlin' about all day. We've gotta find th-"

"Shh!" Terrus swiftly hushed him. "Methinks we just 'ave." He pressed his ear against the cieling of the tunnel, listening to any sounds from above.

"WHO EVER YOU ARE COME OUT! I KNOW THAT YOU'VE BEEN FOLLOWING US!" Someone had shouted.

Terrus relayed the message to Arborus who gave a quizzical look as a partial reply. "Who coulda-"

"Dunno."

"'Ow did they-"

"Dunno."

There was a moment of silence as they both pondered for a moment before Terrus broke it and looked at his brother. "D'ya think it migh' be..."

Arborus shrugged. "Per'aps. Only one way to find out."

Terrus nodded knowingly and began burrowing up towards the surface. He used his magic to keep the topmost level of soil firm in order to mask their actions. He dug a small pocket and moved aside to allow his brother room enough sit next to him. Small bundles of grass roots hung from the cieling and Arborus slowly ran his finger across and through them, feeling the grass above, sensing what the grass had felt. Terrus watched silently, waiting for his brother's situation report. Arborus held up his fingers, indicating how many pairs of feet he felt, then twirled a circle with his forefingers and signed another number, indicating how widespread the group was. Terrus nodded, acknowledging the information, then made a series of hand-signs and gestures, Arborus following with his own as they communicated in total silence.

I go up. Go down. Circle back. Go up. Split focus. Strike. Go down. Flank. Strike. Again. Again. Terrus said.

I hold firm. Keep them rooted. Split focus. Strike underneath. Await orders. Arborus returned.

They nodded in tandem, confirming their plan. Both had set their packs (Arborus's holding a few books, scrolls, some ink and parchment along with his whittling knife; Terrus's holding a few smithing tools, fire starter kit, and rations for the two of them) down in preparation, then Terrus began digging intersecting tunnels that would be necessary for their attack as Arborus sat quietly, waiting for the go order. It only took a few short moments before Terrus was finished, then met eyes with his brother. Arborus nodded, followed by Terrus, indicating acknowledgment.

Terrus slowly poked his head, a patch of grass resting atop his helmet that served as light camouflage, and peered at what he presumed was the head of the group. Their focus was set all around them, but not below. Terrus grabbed a stone from his pouch and, knowing he hadn't the time nor the space to ready his sling, he winged the stone right at the back of a blue-scaled, spear-wielding group member's head. The stone connected with a dull thud, and the thud was followed by a sharp whistle from Terrus.

Arborus, hearing the loud whistle, pressed his hands firmly against the root cieling, then began clenching his fists. At the same time, the grass above was growing around their legs and feet, then wrapped around and kept them planted firmly to the ground.

Terrus immediately sank below again, ensuring a hasty retreat, then reappeared behind the group. He threw another stone at the shorter of the hooded men and made another sharp whistle.

Arborus made a pulling motion with one of his hands, causing one of the legs of a member of the group to sink into the ground as the grass. Arborus couldn't help but snicker as he saw a grey-scaled leg flailing around aimlessly. He pulled another, a red-skinned leg this time, as Terrus was flanking swiftly and hucking pebbles with great fervor.

Rena couldn't help but find that the manipulation of the ground felt rather familiar. She had seen Earth Fae do such things, but why would more Fae leave the Forest? Did her leaving start some sort of 'explore the world' revolution? Shaking her head, she tossed the thought out of her mind before flying down and saying in the Fae language, just in case. "If you're a Fae, make flowers grow! Red ones!"

Terrus had just hucked another stone, this one heading straight for one of the humans, when he heard an almost childish voice coming from above. He glanced up and made a swift observation of the other Fae, eyes widening a bit in surprise. The attacked stopped, though only for a moment as Terrus's and Arborus's eyes met. The earth elemental swiftly began signing a message at his brother.

One Fae. Flying high. Asks: Make flowers. Red.

Arborus looked quizzically, then signed with one hand, holding the surfacers firm with the other. I make flowers?

Terrus only shrugged, uncertain if the Fae was working with the 'enemy'.

Arborus swiftly signed, I make flowers. You attack. See what comes.

Terrus nodded and returned to his task of flanking, evading sight, and hucking stones. A rounded stone bounced off the rear of the longer-haired human's head just as a plethora of rosebuds appeared across the surface an immediately bloomed.

Rena gasped a little bit when she saw that the flowers were actually blooming! Thinking to herself that only Fae would know the native language, she looked to the others before saying in English. "Wait! They're not an enemy! They're Fae like me! Let me talk to them!" She then turned to the ground once more and said in the Fae language. "Hey you guys wait! Why are you attacking us? We're the good guys sent to destroy evil!" She gasped and then asked in the Fae language once more. "W-wait, you're not evil right?"

Malyc looked down, shocked, as the grass rapidly grew around his feet, immobilizing him. "AMBUSH!" He shouted, as he saw rocks thrown with precision into the main body of the party.

He quickly slashed the grass growing around his feet, trying to get free as roses started to bloom all around him. "Now that's odd..." He thought to himself, as he darted to the side of the path. He felt the grass trying to trap him again, but he was moving too quickly for it to get a good hold.

He reached the edge, and turned around to try to find a target. Rena called out "Wait! They're not an enemy! They're Fae like me! Let me talk to them!" Malyc relaxed slightly on hearing this, but still kept his blades at the ready.

Arborus felt a sudden release of his hold and quickly vied for purchase on the runner's feet, but to no avail. He turned to his brother, waving for his attention, and informed him of the escapee and the direction he was headed. Terrus poked his head from the soil again, seeking the runner and locked his gaze onto him. Stone in hand, he cocked his throwing arm back and swiftly brought it forward, throwing it right at the scaly-being's forehead. No sooner than the stone connected, the Fae in the air spoke once more, talking of the group's intent. The earth elemental silently relayed to the message to his brother who soon made an arrangement of daisies appear on the surface, spelling out a message in Fae symbols. The message clearly read: "Not evil. Who sent you?"
