Nah they're World of Warcrafting it. No, seriously they are. Even devs have said "If you don't follow WoW's example your MMO will fail".Morgan Howe said:i hope they don't mass effect 2 the game play x.x

I have a reasonable understanding. Definitely a more concise understanding, rather than learning stuff from games released at least two decades later.Nimcha said:You seem to have no understanding of the universe at all. I would suggest playing the KOTOR games to get a better understanding of it all before complaining.Verlander said:Looks like they didn't ever watch those Red Letter Media reviews, which would have listed out exactly how to make a good Star Wars film...
Ok, so since when did Sith = Empire? I'm a child of the originals, and in those, the Empire was separate to the Sith. The fact that the Emperor was one seemed to be just because he was the big bad guy. We even showed disdain for the lightsaber, referring to one as a Jedi's tool, as though he wasn't one, nor used one.
Why is the technology not vastly different to the films?
Why have they packed in double edged lightsabers (he asks, knowing the answer)?
Ugh. Yeah, visually it's gorgeous, but it's not like they're short of money. The storyline is dull... how could the original three films have three different stories, and yet everything since is so formulaic?
Final bugbear, it's not game footage! The game looks to be awesome, I wanna see that! Save these for in game story...
I'll give it this though, the trailer is far better than the prequels. All of them![]()
You know, I'm keeping a tally. I add one every time someone links that website in a Star Wars thread. I'm up to 15 now.Verlander said:I have a reasonable understanding. Mostly, my questions are grounded in common sense. The double edge lightsaber isn't for padawans, it's for marketing purposes.
The technology hasn't changed for any reason other than to keep fans happy buying Star Wars crap.
The Sith are part of the empire because very little thought was given by Lucas to the actual franchise, and barrelled ahead with a misconception of what the fans enjoyed about the first three... and if you think that's harsh, watch the other official contributions (namely prequels)... they would have sucked a whole lot less if Lucas actualy understood what people liked about the originals.
For a whole franchise to be so reliant on semi official story telling, invented out of necessity to plug up various holes, is amazing. But hey, I'm not the only one that feels this way, watch these....

(he's annoying as fuck, and the reviews take a long time, but many of his points are applicable to this video as well)
a) it isn't a hate badwagon. It's a comprehensive critique, which is negative in tone. Don't get me wrong however, I never said much for the guy, in fact I specifically pointed out that he was annoying.Nimcha said:You know, I'm keeping a tally. That means 15 people who want to follow a hate bandwagon but can't find their own reasons for joining it.
This game takes place 300 years after KotOR. =p Get your facts straight. And there were plenty of lightsaber wielding sith in KotOR too, in case you don't remember.TheMagicIndian said:I didn't realise Marcus Fenix smuggled on his days off.
What happened to the sith that used vibroswords? They were all over the place back in the time the game takes place so why in god's name are they all using lightsabers? That a jedi thing. Seriously, I wouldn't have minded the Han Solo rip off or the clone-trooper wannabes so much but the sith race using nothing but lightsabers just annoys me. The sith weren't fallen jedi so they should not have access to lightsabers at all. Sure, some of them might have been fallen jedi but not all of them.
