Are there any t.v. shows that you originally liked but for some reason you quit watching?
For me, I've given up on Family Guy, mostly due to a combination of the heavy political slant and the show feeling somewhat stale.
And just recently I decided to stop watching Flash Forward and Stargate Universe. Flash Forward started off as a decent mystery kind of show, but after it's hiatus it just went to ridiculous extremes with plot twists and character derailment (in my mind at least). Stargate Universe is just to dark and depressing ( it feels a lot like the first few seasons of Deep Space 9) and repetitive. Just about every episode involves the crew nearly dying or some members of the crew being left behind on a random planet.

I gave up on Dr.Who. I just really hate the way he "dies", and even though I liked the show, the way he "dies" will always bug me, And I was ninja'd by the OP with Stargate Universe, though I don't hate the depressing bits so much as I just hate the general atmosphere.

Edit: also, please people don't tell me to watch Dr.Who anyway, because I've made up my mind on this, and trying to convince me otherwise will be ignored.

Heroes, omg so much potential and they still manage to ruin it.
Lost, seriously, wtf?

I have given up on family guy as well for how it hasn't been funny since season 3, and how its democrat, EXTREMELY democrat.

I gave up on Battlestar Galactica after about 15 minutes. The sophmoric crew and nauseatingly nerdy deathbot chick were just too tacky and uninteresting to bear.

Hustle.
It's the same old shit with predictable plot twists.

Oh, yeah, and maybe Supernatural. It's been so goddamn predictable and melodramatic since season 5 started. Even more so than before.

And you know what's the most annoying part of the entire show? The emotional brother talk by the car at the end of each and every episode.

It goes like this pretty much "DEAN! SAM! DEAN! SAM! It's not your fault Sam! Yes it is, Dean! Ok, maybe so Sam!" *Sam gives dean that really fucking gay look*

Repeat for 5 seasons.

Family Guy, and every show on Cartoon Network including Adult Swim. I guess my diversion from TV has given me a distaste for it. And I wouldn't like it any other way.

I agree entirely with you on Stargate Universe. I'm a massive fan of both SG-1 and Atlantis, but Universe is trying too hard to be dark and gritty and it's missing one of the things that made the other two series truely great. The fact that they didn't take themselves too seriously.

Stargate Atlantis. Its not a bad show, but I just loved the cast of StarGate: SG1 so much, its hard to switch over.

I gave up on American Dad when they spent half an episode making fun of God, and Titan Maximum after two episodes because I cannot stand the characters at all, and the same goes for the Boondocks.

I'm going with Family Guy. Sure, it's always been stupid, but in the beginning, it was stupid with style. Now it's just plain stupid.

The Simpsons. I really cannot stand the art style, and a lot of the voices annoy me.

The Simpsons, South Park, everything on G4, Heroes, Chuck, Family Guy, anime in general, Mythbusters, Stargate Atlantis. I sort of want to go back and catch up on Heroes just to watch Zachary Quinto murder a bunch of people, but...meh.

actually lately its been getting better about that, which is weird, I was about ready to call it quits on it too but then it started getting good again, what the hell?

simpsons... well not totally, I still like the old ones and the new ones in the last couple years have had their moments but for awhile the show just got really really bad

I'm gonna go with "all of them." I sold my TV in 2006 and the only thing I miss watching is live sports---ESPN3.com is only good for so much.

Although speaking of live sports, that's probably going to change when I move home to Boston in 2 years---I'll have to get a TV so I can watch Sox/Pats/C's/B's games.

I haven't watched TV in nearly two years, but I can't really claim to have not seen some shows (I bought Sarah Connor Chronicles for example, and liked it!) The only thing I watch nowadays is Doctor Who. That's literally it.

But before that I gave up on The Simpsons and Family Guy. Not enough new material, Family Guy has always struck me as teetering on the balance of taste versus tastelessness anyway, and I just got tired of them.
