Dragon Ball Z. i was into it when i was a kid but i noticed that every season "or saga" was just the same premis over and over again. We defeated a villian who can destroy the universe with a thought, but now heres an even more powerful villian that we have to fight. And the show is padded to shit. there are whole episodes that are nothing but the main character charging up an attack while everyone watches him and comments...yeah even a show about characters that can fart atomic explosions gets boring if theirs no substance.

The Simpsons. It still has it's moments, but it's just so overdone and stale now. I'd put South Park and Family Guy in the same boat but they always seemed to be trying to pus buttons for no real reason other than to push them, so not only are they stale now but they never really were that funny/entertaining to me in the first place.

Attack Of The Show. I love some parts of G4 (the web content brought out by Sessler is GREAT stuff), but I've totally given up on AOTS ever returning to how good it used to be (namely before it even was AOTS).

Heroes. I loved it at first, but it got too complicated and I just gave up on the last series. I almost gave up on Stargate Universe, but the new episodes have been really good, and I like it now. Still not as good as SG1 and SGA, but it's going in a different direction thematically.

X-Play. I used to love that show, but then one day they started using that retarded anime-ish title sequence and the show started sucking.

Family Guy's a biggy. Maybe I just outgrew it but either way, it's really clutching for straws as far as humour is concerned. Five minutes of Conway Twitty? Really? I mean I know it's great you don't need to pay to animate five minutes worth of a 22-ish minute show but at the end of the day all you're doing is wasting people's time.
To it's credit sometimes it scores a point but mostly on a very dumb humour level. When it's trying to be smart it seems even more stupid especially with it's political commentary.

Lost. Gave up on that pretty quickly because I saw at the start of the second season that there were no plans to tie up any loose ends and instead just milk the idea utill the series was all dried up, wrecking the initial good idea in the process.

Are there any t.v. shows that you originally liked but for some reason you quit watching?
For me, I've given up on Family Guy, mostly due to a combination of the heavy political slant and the show feeling somewhat stale.
And just recently I decided to stop watching Flash Forward and Stargate Universe. Flash Forward started off as a decent mystery kind of show, but after it's hiatus it just went to ridiculous extremes with plot twists and character derailment (in my mind at least). Stargate Universe is just to dark and depressing ( it feels a lot like the first few seasons of Deep Space 9) and repetitive. Just about every episode involves the crew nearly dying or some members of the crew being left behind on a random planet.
I may be the only one but I loved every minute of Deep space nine save a few episodes.

South Park- ever since the testicle thing i vowed to watch no more forever.

I don't really get the TV too much anymore, but I no longer make any effort to watch Family Guy. I liked the old evil genius Stewie so much better.

Scrubs. Seriously guys. Scrubs. Back in the fourth/fifth season, it was hilarious. Literally laugh out loud. But now... Now... Euhrg... It hurts to even speak of it...

Oh! And the simpsons! It's prime was the sixth/seventh season. That's correct. It passed its prime fourteen seasons ago
Whats on TV now isn't scrubs. Its Scrubs: Medical school or some bullshit like that. The original can't be beat.

Stargate Atlantis. Its not a bad show, but I just loved the cast of StarGate: SG1 so much, its hard to switch over.
That's a shame.

I'm sticking through even SG:U, unlike most of the world. But Atlantis is by far the pinnacle of the Stargate series, barring maybe the first few seasons of SG1 at a push.

Season one of Stargate: Atlantis is some of the best TV I've ever watched, hands down.

I thought Scrubs was consistantly pretty good. It fell down a bit in parts of the sixth season, a bit more at the start of the seventh season, picked up again at the end of the seventh season and finished pretty strongly in the eight. Have't seen any of "New Scubs" but I don't see it working. The writers involved probably need to start something new. Or here's an idea, re-start Clone High. I loved that show.

Dexter.

I loathe season 2 simply because it was doing the usual bullshit of adding a romantic plot to a series about something completely different - a fucking serial killer. I watch the show cause I want to see the dude be smart about how he plans and kills each victim. Plus, the constant battle of wits between him and other members of the police in season 1 was awesome. But no, season 2 was like - "Hmmmm, what's a cheap way of increasing the number of viewers? Oh I know, more drama!!"
Screw season 2 and 3 those suck, but you need to watch season 4, it goes back to the roots of the series and in much like season 1.

Zero No Tsukima (yes, it's anime, but it's still a TV show) I got close to the end before I just wanted to shoot every character in the face.

Fringe.

I gave up after the first few eps. I really wanted it to be a new X-files type of show. It isn't. And I hate that every problem they have to solve turns out to be some experiment what Walter somehow forgot he and "Belly" worked on years prior. Every. Damned. Problem.

South Park.

The past few seasons seem to focus more on being as vile and gross and possible, not necessarily clever. If I want a gory 'toon I'll watch Metalocalypse (which I like.)

All the mentions of Family Guy, just saw the commercial for tonight's ep, says no flahsbacks, no cutaways. Curious to see what that actually looks like. I still like the show but it's never been a fave so I can take it or leave it.

Heroes. It just got too out of hand for me. Also Scrubs. Not to the point that it ruins the old episodes for me, but it's lost its stride forever.
