I used to play 40K 1st edition (orks), Epic (Imperial) & Space Hulk (stealers) with a few friends, then realised I wasn't going to get to enjoy many of the pleasures of youth sitting inside all day painting little lumps of lead.

I played Cyberpunk 2020 ("Dungeons & drug dealers"...heh) for a bit and had a couple of abortive attempts to play AD&D 2nd ed, WHFRP 1&2 and Dark Heresy but I only really have a superficial interest these days, probably for nostalgias sake.

For those who like Hero Quest, check out Descent: Journeys into Dark. It's the new HQ. It has a modular board made of what look like (at the ends) puzzle pieces!

I've played a fair bit of D&D. I also had a pretty decent Dark Elf miniature army in Warhammer. Oh, and I'm wickedly good at Risk.

I used to play an old ADVANCED DUNGONS AND DRAGONS. I loved it and I really never knew any newer version (and this one was from like 1990) But the people I played it with lost intrerest

This thread reminds me I have some Ultramarines I need to finish painting somewhere. In fact, I still have a force commander and a dreadnought left in the packaging.
