Doing that kungfu focus attack of Fei Long. Yes, From Street Fighter IV.
It isn't aimed at anything, I just hit the air. But if you put all your strength into it, it calms you down real quickly.
Also, it doesn't break anything or make your fist hurt.

I leave disappointed.

I personally study Saikyo Style, for self defense and to calm my spirit...

when i get angry, i feel i have to break stuff... when i break stuff, its generally considered a bad thing... thus, anger = negative, and releiving anger = negative... theres no escape >.>

unfortunately, i have cyclothymia, and certain triggers for it cause anger... so for no reason occasionally ill get ridiculousaly angry at nothing, and not be able to do anything about it, except bottle it up, and effectively meditate for half an hour...

I normally take out my anger on my keybaord as its probably the cheapest thing at my computer desk. Its still going strong though, its unbreakbale.

This. I tend to wail and stomp my keyboard. It's only 12 euro's so I don't really care. I have had this thing for three years now, and only things broken are same stabilizing pins on my shift, space and enter, which I don't mind. Oh and I once smashed my backspace in two. I glued it and it's perfect again. Hehe.

I usually watch cartoons.

More specifically Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy.

It always calms me down and has me laughing my ass off in 5 minutes

I just run or do pushups until I get tired. Before I would just find something to break, so I'd say it's an improvement.

How to calm down?

Let myself steam in my rage for a couple hours, rant about it to myself and whoever bothers asking what's up, and eventually burn out of it.

I'm healthy! :D

Games calm people down?

They're normally my main source of sudden rage.

OT: Lots of swearing to get myself even more riled up, then I'll slowly calm down once I've gotten rid of it all.

Friends over for gaming marathons, with or without drinking.

It's amazing how much hanging our with friends can cheer you up and steer you towards the funny side of whatever's effed you over.

(Also, a lol at the above post)

YES!

Anyways: Angry Music, Reading, Walking (weather permitting), or Friends...

Though the last often ends badly because I hate to have someone try to pry the reason for my anger out.

Games don't make me mad but in the event something else does either counting to 10 slowly or playing Saints Row 2 with it's ridiculous physics engine helps.

"I'M SO GODDAMN MAD"

*throws old lady off a skyscraper*

"Much better."

Maybe music. But when I'm angry and/or annoyed, there isn't much to do besides let it wear off.

Going into the basement, putting on boxing gloves, and beating the wall.

I've only done that once in anger, though. More likely to scream into a pillow or just talk myself out of it when I do get mad.

I'm interested to know what calms my fellow Escapists down?
I get the feeling games may be the main answer however for me it's normally games that cause me great amounts of anger and my controller to fly across the room.

I'll go first.
Today the speedo, rev counter etc, all the dials basically, went on my car for the second time in a few months making me incredibly angry and wanting to torch a Ford garage. However I stuck a bit of music on, ranted a little bit and roamed the Escapist and I'm feeling a little calmer.
I like keeping myself a little stressed out and "on the edge". Improves performance in many many cases. But games keeps me calm and helps me forget all about life and problems.

Oh and Fords normally fail in some way within 3 months XD
