You really can't disassociate it? Their acting is terrible.likalaruku said:I live in WA state but I was raised in Nevada.
I like British accents, but not the London accent, because I can't disassociate it from American actors pretending to be from the UK.
No, no, it can be cute on girls too.justnotcricket said:Good God - the Kiwi accent is considered sexy??? That's news to me - I try my hardest not to have a strong kiwi accent! But then if it's only sexy on guys I suppose that's different. I certainly (figuratively) run a mile from a strong kiwi/aussie accent!
As for what appeals to me, I love languages, so I find many accents interesting, although I will confess to a soft spot for both Scottish accents and a nice Inigo Montoya/Antonio Banderas Spanish lilt. I mean come on, whose knees didn't go weak to the sound of 'My name is Inigo Montoya. You kill' my fatherr. Prrepare to dai''.
**swoon**
Im from the UK, there are loads of accents... Loads.likalaruku said:There's probably more like 50 accents in the UK.
I was born in Dorchester and then moved to Wales. Fortunately I have neither a west country accent or a Welsh one. So I don't really know how to class mine either. I'm told I "sound very British" by people from other countries but that doesn't help me make out what accent I actually have.EmzOLV said:I'm from the UK - always loved the American accent ^^ though some of my girl mates don't seem to share the same opinion! I'm not picky as to really which US accent, most make my knees weak!
And there are literally hundreds of different UK accents and I can't describe mine really - my family were all northerners and I was the only one born down near London (Reading really) and I have a bit of a mish mash. Hopefully the best bits *cross fingers*
