EDIT: You know what wigs me out? That most of you have no memory at all of the Soviet Union, that it fell before most of you were born. I grew up with the certainty that we were all eventually going to die in a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. Seriously. That's how we thought the world was going to end. We never worried about the ecosystem collapsing. We never figured we'd last that long.
So 20 years from now what is everyone going to be worrying about in regards to the world ending?
20 years from now? Hard to say. My guess is the loss of arable farmland and drinking water. I think the current ecological options have some staying power - peak oil, the collapse of the oceanic ecosystem, global warming. Did you know that they had rain in the arctic that froze to a thick coat of ice when it hit the snow, and 20,000 musk oxen died because they couldn't break through the ice to get to the grass underneath. 20,000 from a single weather event, a weather event that is becoming more common. If you have some morbid curiosity regarding ecological horrors, look up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. I'm really glad that the chances are that I will be dead in 30 years. Maybe it's just the conditioned dread of growing up under the psychological bloom of the mushroom cloud, but I think life is going to be hard for Generation Z.

What comes after Generation Z?

Nothing will, unless we start cleaning up our act RIGHT NOW! as gamers, I'm pretty sure we can do somethings to slow down humanities' massive use of plastic and pollution

Generation Y.

The best generation.

Unlike Generation Z, we didn't need our parents to teach us about technology. We're self taught, bitches.
Dunno about you, but I taught my parents.
1985, so firmly Gen Y. Grew up (gaming-wise) with an original GameBoy, a Master System II, then a Mega Drive, an N64, a PS2, then an Xbox 360.

*edit* I can also remember playing Granny's Garden in '89-'90 at primary school, on BBC machines.

1991, i suppose that's y. but i should have been born in 1948 because i'm a proper 60's addict; i would give anything to have been at woodstock, and to have seen the moonlanding, to have been in beatlemania and protested against vietnam and to have been there at that time. i love 60's music in particular, in fact i'm listening to the zombies right now (they did time of the season).
i feel betrayed by the generation i was born in; where cascada tops the charts ahead of a recently dead michael jackson and la roux is considered great music. where stupidity is put on a pedestal and worshipped by the fucking masses of big brother watching, wkd drinking fuckwits who spend more time straightening their hair than thinking about the world. we are possibly the most complacent, spoilt generation in the history of mankind and i wish quite dearly that i was born earlier, i really do.
I feel the same way, born in 1990 but I wish I was born in the late 40's or early 50's so I could live through those years. Maybe that has something to do with my dad going to Woodstock.

Generation Y.
This generation is also sometimes referred to as the Boomerang Generation or Peter Pan Generation because of their possible penchant for delaying some of the rites of passage into adulthood longer than most generations before them.
Hell yeah!

Generation Y, times were tough but we were happy, I had no internet or computer until I was 11 and even then it was dial up, we'd only just got into 3D graphics on game's on the N64 and there was no youtube. Happy times.

Just caught the tail end of generation Y, so I can remember video tapes, massive CD players, and cars without air conditioning. Thank gods for air conditioning!
Same here I remember that. Sitting in the car on a long journey during a heat wave, what a bloody nightmare!!

I personally think I should've been born 100's of years ago but there yoou go everyone's different
