The golden wrench has nothing to do with the speed at which they'll release updates.
They'll release updates regardless of how many people get the wrench.

*Also note, wrenches can be found up until the 100th wrench has gone out. There is no per-day limit on the number of wrenches found, and distribution has been designed to be fair to all timezones. Well, reading online about the golden wrench, you can get it by typing something in the code so it pops up in your inventory (not doing it in fear of Valve counting it as hacking). Not that great, the change is only cosmetic. As for the frontier justice, I wanted something more

Oh well, pretty cool weapon and Im going to use it... when I finally get it.

The golden wrench isn't part of the update.
It's just a bonus.

I know, but the new shotty is. And with the teaser trailer, isnt it the engineer building something out of our view? I am hoping something like a new construction. A repair node would just be pure awesome but Im just glad that new updates are still coming out for this sweet game.
