Don't do it yet, but I'll mark you down for giving yours to him. Send it to him the day before the event so that he has time to download the game and patch it up.

It might work best to send all the free passes about 2 days before the event. They last 72 hours, I think, so there's no way they'd run out of time; but since most of those people have never played before, they need some time to prepare.

Though if they have the Xbox version, it won't matter much.

...And I'm still not in the list in this thread...did I do something wrong?

My shitty-ass computer can barely run the Half-Life 2 Demo because of a Dx6 graphics card thing.

And NO, don't tell me I can buy a new one or update it with some website or something or other, I tried that with some help from a "good friend", my complete ass of a computer won't accept the updates/new graphics cards.

Sorry, wish I could play, but i guess i'll have to put off buying the orange box for a couple of months/years.

So, in short, I'm gonna have to drop out of the extravaganza.

Tried shutting down Steam and turning it on again? You'd be suprised how many issues that solves.

Dude, that's all right because if you can run HL2 then TF2 will definitely work...as long as you have a decent internet connection.

HL2 = first edition of Source Engine, which needed at least 128 MB RAM, and 64 MB Graphics Card to run properly.

TF2 = latest edition of Source Engine, which now need at least 512 MB RAM, and 128 MB Graphics Card.

So he won't have any chance to run this game, till he meets requirements.
