Don't worry about it, just jump in. I only started playing on it about a month ago, and although I don't play on it a lot, I still give them a run for their money.nimrandir said:Ever since I ponied up the cash for a Gold Live membership, I have been contemplating giving Team Fortress 2 a spin, since The Orange Box was already sitting on my game shelf. However, the mission-oriented gameplay, combined with the fact that the game is well over a year old, have me worried that I would end up entering a realm of long-practiced strategies and techniques and facing a steep learning curve. Is this a valid concern, or should I be able to jump into a match (albeit as a newbie who will most likely spend a good while getting shot up)?
I am aware that the PC version is more complete, but I am assessing what I can enjoy with my current game inventory. The Topic Creator said:Ever since I ponied up the cash for a Gold Live membership, I have been contemplating giving Team Fortress 2 a spin, since The Orange Box was already sitting on my game shelf . . .
Not just the hardcore players. The first few matches you play you will be noobowned, but you get better. I did, and I can fare against the mass. Besides, in EVERY FPS game you play, you get noobowned.NoMoreSanity said:You'll most likely get killed a lot as only the hardcore play it now. And haxxors.
It's more fun because Valve updates the PC version with new gear and maps.letsnoobtehpwns said:I have Team Fortress 2 on the Xbox 360 and it isn't really that much fun. I hear the PC version is waaaaay better so you should probably try that out.
