I really don't care about TF2 anymore.

I'm all for adding new weapons to games, but making them nigh impossible to unlock on your own playing the game naturally? That's a bunch of shit.

I'm playing an FPS Valve, NOT a friggin' MMO. That's one of the reasons I disliked CoD4's online multiplayer.
-and due to it's success, now everyone wants to copy it in some way...yay...

but they also have new maps and a new game mode so that's cool!

Spys need more firepower and better armor. It's nearly impossible to infiltrate an enemy outpost when people start shooting at you in Disguise.
I just wanna find a server with friendly fire :(

For the spy: Some type of suicide bomb to replace the sapper that does lots of damage to enemies around the spy, but kills the spy in the process. This could be cheap, even with the suicide penalty, so there would have to be some additional factor to balance it.

Or a medic disguise with a usable weapon that looks like the medgun, but instead slowly drains health, down to, say, about 10% so it can't actually kill them. It would register to the target as if they were being healed normally, so they'd have to pay attention to their health to relise. This would have to be used sparingly, as it would make the spy an obvious target when they notice their health is being reduced instead of increased.

Maybe with the suicide bomb: When activated a countdown begins that takes between 5-10seconds, the time being random. During that time the spy can't can't move or deactivate the bomb. His animation/sound should also change slightly whilst in disguise (something like looking at his watch and/or making a ticking noise).
That way the high damage of the bomb is balanced out by the ability of observant players to run away.

Sniper: The sniper needs a silencer for his rifle, advantage: Rifle retains charging ability but you can't be heard, so its less obvious where you're shooting from. Using the silencer also removes the direction arrow when you get hit.
disadvantage: Adding the silencer removes critical hits, meaning heavies, pyros, demos and soldiers can't be killed in one hit anymore.

Nah, the lack of pyro's is that it takes a very special (and some say broken) person to play the class. Since the weather is moving toward the summer in the US, most of those individuals are practicing their pyro skills on sacrificial animals at an event called 'The backyard bar-b-q'
The pyro's rare because he's only useful in very specific situaions, like when a control point needs taking/defending. Otherwise everyone just backs away emptying the biggest death prod they have at him.

Pyro gets incendiary rounds for his shotgun, but carries less (instead of 38 max (counting loaded and carried together) only gets, say, 28) and can load less at a time. Payoff being a slight burn effect simialr to his flamethrower. Also, melee weapon becomes a fire-extinguisher, which slows speed and/or slightly blurs the opponent's vision.
love it! really i never thought of a fire extinguisher...

Sandwich: If the game ends in a stalemate, then the sandwich replaces everyones weapons, and it turns into a "sudden death" where everyone has to sandwich each other to death.
that sounds awesome. lol each class could have different sandwiches. they should all do crit damage to make things evil

personally i play pyro a lot and do really well. he's a surprise character so he's actually similar to a spy in a way: you cant do shit in an open field. oh and the spy doesnt need more armor to HELP him into a base, that would be really unfair. its SUPPOSED to be hard to make it in, people shoot you for a reason. either get better with spy or learn how to escape the gunfire. he's a hard class to be good with, but excellent when put to good use

Lol I got the classes right here!
Scout: Hero Sub
Soldier: Wrapped-up Dagwood sandwich (A sandwich with multiple layers)
Pyro: Sloppy Joe, due to heat
Demoman: Beer sandwich which looks like a bottle.
Heavy: HAMBURGer
Engineer: Steamed Sandwich (It comes from Kentucky, close to Texas)
Medic: Butterbrot sandwich
Sniper: Peanut Butter n Jelly
Spy: Croque-monsieur

How about someone makes a mod to change the team colours to Green & Orange, just to mix things up?

The original four TF colors were red, blue, green, and yellow with the logos being a red skull, a blue fort, a green gazzelle, and a yellow sword.

That being said, the class in most need of extra balance, in my opinion, is the Pyro. He needs a longer range or more powerful flamethrower, because the class seems underplayed.
Oddly enough, the heavy was the least played class before this patch (he's now risen a few spots due to the medic+heavy combo being popular).

TF2 needs a better weapon for the Pyro (favorite class). Even though the Pyro is essential for making the enemy team retreat, it's still difficult for a Pyro player to be on the top of the scoreboard. Also, the Demoman needs to be toned down. I hate how one Demoman can completely demolish an enemy team just by spamming stickies.

Pyro: Souped-up flamethrower. The drawback is that the Pyro will have a visible gas tank strapped to his back. If one were to shoot the gastank, the Pyro would instantly explode. 60hp and a small hit-box for the gas tank.

Agreed. Way too easy. Whenever my team is stuck I just switch to Demoman, spam grenades to clear the way and plant stickies for when they come back. I suggest making the grenade launcher way less accurate or reducing it's damage to that of a soldier's rocket, because as soon as you become good at aiming with the grenade launcher the fact that they fly in an arch doesn't become a disadvantage anymore and they're essentially more powerful rockets.

pyro:

flamethrower:
give the flamethrower an alt-fire, where you use 10 or so ammunition but have increased range and damage for 2-3 seconds.

shotgun
replace the shotgun with a thirmite-charge launcher. it acts like the demoman's stickybomb launcher, but it sets fire to the area it sticks to instead of exploding. only 2 shots before reloading, to stop spam.

fire axe:
replace with the fire extinguisher (good idea) but the primary fire is whacking people with the extinguiher, and the alt-fire is the spray.

spy:

pistol:
more damage, more accurate but slower reloading and firing.

sapper:
a delayed sapper, controlled by a 10-secod timer to give the spy time to escape. It also saps at 1.5x-2x speed.

knife:
just up the normal stab damage to mirror the engineer's wrench.

spy/ sapper: Hacker: Instead of sapping sentries, you hack them to attack the enemey team OR just make them shoot anyone "for balencing purposes"

Heavy: HAMBURGer
Hamburg is in Germany. the Heavy's russian. Just FYI.
-PSST-

I couldn't find a Russian sammitch.

ALSO, I looked at the Spy. The only weapons that can improve are the knife and the revolver in the character setup. Just FYI.

just had an idea for a new class: Freezer

Primary: Freeze Ray. Shoots similar to pyro except that it freezes instead of burns. so it does very little to no damage, but then the enemy is frozen to enemy fire for maybe 4 seconds. but both enemy AND ally pyros can melt the ice. either that or it can just shoot patches of ice that cause enemies to slip on and cause them (fall or freeze)damage. the patches melt after a short time or pyros can melt them.

Secondary: Icicle Gun. Shoots like the medic AIDS gun, but shoots icicles that travel farther do more damage, but shoot slowly, with a small clip size.

Melee: either an Ice Pick or a Frozen Turkey would be good.

seemed like a balanced class. it obviously couldnt battle a pyro, but it could get scouts who move too fast to avoid ice patches or heavies who cant jump as far to get past them. maybe the Freeze class could have a fault with him if he swam in water. it could slow him down and anyone near him
