Just like everyone else has said. You played the 360 version, you can't judge it. Also, if you don't like portal you must be some sort of mutant.

Troll, oh and be prepared for en masse' demanding that you play on PC.
How does not liking TF2 make him a troll?
Because he isn't really giving us why he dislikes it. Also, the title of the thread is screaming for the wrong kind of attention. We all know TF2 is a good game. Hell, a great game. So it cannot be 'the worst' when at least one person likes it. Just because he doesn't get the point, doesn't make it 'the worst game ever'.

I got both the PC version and the Xbox version, and I don't think the PC add-ons make it much better than the Xbox version.

That said, I'm not sure why you don't like it, but everyone has opinions.

You played the game on a console, and that was your biggest mistake. I'm not being elitist or anything, but they are inferior versions of the game. Let's compare stats:

At launch, Team Fortress 2 had six maps with each class having a set of at least three weapons, with 3 game modes. Since then, the PC version has now grown to have more than thirty maps with nine game modes. Each class has recieved a new set of weapons and hats. Not to mention class balancing and bug fixes over the years. Unfortunately, the console versions have recieved none of these, apart from maybe some bug fixes.

Just, you know, facts.

I'll add more to minimalise the chances of people getting the wrong idea. People have said that the console version is still a fine game, which it is, I'm sure, as it is essentially TF2 at launch, which was still kick-awesome. The updates and tweaks have only made it sweeter. America's number 1 war-themed hat simulator can't go wrong!

The 360 version is entirely different.
Surely it doesn't have any of the major updates the PC has gotten?

As much as I would love to play on the Pc version of TF2 [Can;t computer game because I have a 2006 Mac that isn;t close to what I need to play TF2], I like the 360 versio because it's basic, easy to master, and nobody is really that good. The only thing I don;t like is people who block out classes, like people whoplay engineer and block out demo, soldier, and spy. You just need for it to grow on you.

Wow. Just... wow.

I bought Orange Box for the xbox360 today. Actually, I initially bought it on release day so I could play Portal... so I technically re-bought it. Back then there was barely a person playing Team Fortress 2 so I gave it a miss. However, having heard numerous endorsements of the game, and assuming that the amount of people playing might have picked up, I bought another copy.

What. A load. Of balls. I've been trying to play for the last few hours, but have now thrown in the towel - it's rubbish. It's like the original, TFC, but slow, with a total of about 4 maps - only one of which supports CTF- , and whining American children requiring mass-muting at the beginning of every game.

Am I doing it wrong? Have I missed something? Or is this genuinely a terrible game? I realise that the PC version has more support from Valve... but can the 360 version be so different? I'm not sure what my enquiry is with this post... but someone please explain - I'm feeling somewhat bewildered and perplexed!!

I've been playing the PC version a week, and I can't stop playing. I bought the console version a year back, and I played it for a few days tops.
PC has unlockable weapons, different 'hats' 30,000ish players daily, good community, a hell of a lot more maps. Valve did a big-ish update last week for what is now a pretty old game.

Sadly, as most people are pointing out, thats your problem there.

It really is a better game on PC, almost as much that it's a different game entirely.

I strongly suggest you give it a try.

The pc version and the Xbox and PS3 versions are such different games that it's a wonder they can be called the same.

In other words: It's awesome on pc, shit on console.
[sup]Like many other fps games.[/sup]

Hats,
Hats.
Wonderful hats

*insane giggling"
I this this post needs more attention. The main reason that xbox users aren't getting the full TF2 experience is that TF2 is NOT AN FPS. TF2 is a War-themed Hat simulator.

I think the major "PC version is better" argument from every poster is the correct one. I bought the Orange Box for PC years ago, and then 360 a few months ago, and the difference between TF2 on both platforms is staggering. PC is better for it hands down.
