I'm rambo, I go out with a shotgun and have fun (though it's gotten a bad rep since Modern warfares 1899 gun akimbo) so now I have to use a crummy assault rifle.

It depends entirely on the game mode for me if i'm just playing something like Team Slayer i'll go Rambo but if i'm doing objective modes like Capture the Flag i'm a team player. This goes for any FPS i play.

I go Rambo for the good of the team. If nobody else wants to get shit done, I'll typically step up and go on a killing spree just to push them out of our base or to give someone else a shot at slipping by. Hell, sometimes I get lucky and kill all of them. Just depends.

If my team does well though, I'll stick with them. I play with my friends mostly, so I try to be a team player.
Agreed, its always fun to rush into a endless standoff and scare the shit out of the enemy team with a blanket of bullets.

Rambo, which is a problem because Halo is a team game but I really taken a liking to the Banshee and thats only got room for one, especially useful on Invasion.

Doesn't matter how you get the job done, with who or how many times you get killed trying aslong as it's done. :p

I like being the team helper, whether through suppressive/covering fire, healing, artillery, or simply because I'm new and have no idea what to do and feel more comfortable with teammates in sight :|

I remember this one time in Battlefield 1942 wayyyyy back, I think it was Battle of the Philippines, I was on...whatever side had the Destroyer, and me and like half a dozen other teammates just stayed on the destroyer, manning all the guns and mass repairing it. It was tons of fun just goofing around.

I go Rambo if nobody else will - and I actually have a remarkable survival rate. However, I naturally gravitate to providing support fire and situational assistance - the RPG needed to take out that tank, the medkit needed to heal a weary squad. I feel best and happiest doing that, even if rerolling heavy and gunning down the entire enemy team is a special kind of hilarious.

Too much to ask for both?

I like to think I'm a tactical Rambo. Charge the unseen path and decimate from an unseen angle.

Basically my problem. I'd like to be a team player, but I find that I'm usually 5x as effective when doing things on my own than with teammates, as they typically turn out to be utter morons. I can't count the number of times when I went Medic and tried to save my teammates, only to have them completely lose their minds and bodies.

So, yeah, OT, I usually end up doing things by myself. Although it's not really a "rambo" thing, it's more the "sneak behind enemies and completely screw with them from behind" thing.

I can do both, but I prefer team player. Unfortunately, it's very hard to be a team player if no one else is.

I feel your pain...

I TRY to be the team player, either coming up with the strategy or just being the distraction, but most of the time, I end up with a team of Lone Wolves, and you know what they say... when in Rome...
...Do as the Romans do

I know what you mean, there is no point in trying to be a good player, if it is not gonna get you anywhere.

I stick behind one guy mates and use them as to find out if there's an enemy around the corner. I do this in every game and in the case of Call of Duty, I'm usually top of the leaderboard.

Somehow, I still die the most.

Calumon: I work with people to find somewhere no-one will find me.

Jack: Oh yeah, sometimes I try to find somewhere where no-one will find me and I just stay there. Not participating just staying there and spinning around in circles. Works best in Free for all because then your team mates won't give you away.

I'm the Lone Wolf type of guy. Mainly because I like to snipe, in shooters. When it's games like Halo, where sniping is... well, less easy because of how hectic it is, I tend to go for teamplayer.

But still...

I'm the guy that remorselessly shoots you in the head, five times in a row, and I love it!

I wanna agree with this guy :p. Me and my friends "tactically own them" in order to make openings for stuff, like how in BTB CTF on halo reach we just orbit their base with ghosts mowing them down as they spawn XD..you would be amazed how hard it is to catch some dude riding on the back of a mongoose with your flag when theres two ghosts ramming you in the ass.

When I have a team full of people I know, I'm a beautiful mix of both.

I bait my entire team. As they hold the line, I flank on my own. I call out any enemies that I pass up(because sometimes you have to let 1 or 2 live to get the other 3 or 4). I call out the direction of enemy air support(UAVs and Counter UAVs). Our anti-air guy takes out their air support.

If I'm sniping, I call out any enemy that I can't hit(I don't waste bullets on targets I know I won't get) by telling my team what building they're in or what object they're by. I'll provide covering fire as they move from cover to cover(with any weapon. Not just sniper rifles). I love telling my team mates to shoot through a certain corner and when they do, they kill a guy they didn't even know was there.

We don't stick together, though. That's just a grenade or RPG waiting to happen.

When I'm with randoms, I keep the headset off and just go alone.

Team player. I like being with a well-organized group of players.

Of course, the very best is when I'm in a squad of skilled players, and we run around easily killing the disorganized fools around us. My favourite moments in the Battlefield series were all times I had a team that was skilled, fighting tough opponents, and we came up with clever plans to defeat those opponents.

One of my least favourite moments was when my team forced me to go "lone wolf". Some enemy compound could've been easily cleared by a single sniper, which is my least favourite class in Bad Company 1. When none of the snipers on my squad would clear it out, I found myself yelling at them for being idiots while I sat back getting a dozen kills. We won the round, but I felt like a coward and a cheap shot.

i go solid snake and create havoc behind their lines (usually by stealing their tank >:) and planting AT mines on the exits of their base)

or Rambo if noones going for the objectives. more specifically, Rambo on a Quadbike covered in C4.

and if we need reinforcement on the front line i teamplay.

i usualy do all 3 in one match.
