Saying there is no teamwork in CoD shows a deep misunderstanding of how CoD works. Teamwork there is organic, hard to see, and functions without any sort of command, but if you step back to look at it, it's obvious. It's not as pretty as a well organized team with an objective, but it plays more off of the inclinations of the players.
That camping sniper is keeping heads out of a doorway. Because of this, the guys rushing with SMGs can get around the side and tear the other team up from behind. The other team can't counter because where they're pushing, there are guys with LMGs pointed at the points they're attacking. If the LMGs mess up, the entire offensive will backfire. The guys spamming grenades are scattering them and flushing them out of cover, while stun grenades make them easy targets. As the enemy team begins to dissolve into chaos, other plays move in to pick them off. It might not be a highly structured case of teamwork, but it exists. The team that does this most effectively is going to win.
Every player is functioning independently, but it all adds up to one unified effort. This happens every game. Even on bullshit maps like Wet Works.
The only time this stuff goes out of the window is in the recent fail CoD games where every team has eight players and suddenly every last person become indispensably vital. That's the fault of Activision pandering to consoles.
