several:
smart phones - i remember my grandpas first cell phone, it was huge, but i thought it was so awesome, now smart phones are small, and can do so much. its awesome
multi core cpus - awesome
netbooks - they arent at thier prime yet but in a couple of years they will be amazing

For me, it was the iPod when it first came out. I had had portable cassette and CD players, but the idea of keeping a hundred songs in a tiny computer that plugged into your ears... it was weird...
