A device that could make french-fries taste good when you microwave them. I once spent an hour thinking of possibilities, and I may be on the edge of a scientific breakthrough.

Oh yeah Stargates!! I want my Chaapa'ai!
or at least a laser beam....
That and everything from "The Fifth Element".recoverytwo said:Lets just say Back to the Future part 2 and leave it to that.
I was thinking about that, maybe a multi-spectrum oven that microwaves, burns, and irradiates it!(Irradiation is an actual sterilization process used on food, ya know!)GreyWolf257 said:A device that could make french-fries taste good when you microwave them. I usually see it abbreviated from Faster than Light Travel.Cortheya said:I believe it is FTL, good sir. Well at least it is in Stargate....theSovietConnection said:FLT engines, that's what.

Can you explain how Mass Relay is better than classic "anywhere you want" FTL?T-Bone24 said:I'll take your FTL drive and raise you a Mass Relay! [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_relay]Kollega said:A drive for Faster-Than-Light travel.
I want to explore the galaxy NAAAAAAO!
EDIT: Ninja'd by poster above. Oh well.
In my view, the remote would be about the same size as a cell phone, so it would be something likely to fit easily in your pocket. Not a TV remote, either. It's sort of like a cell phone you use to dial the numbers you set to call the device.Grinnbarr said:Yeah but what if you lost the remote? Think about it.OmniDesol said:People are thinking big with this one. Here's something more useful day to day:
A device you stick on things, like iPods, cell phones, DS and DS games, ect. that lets you call a number on a specialized remote, causing the device to ring. Think about how few times you would lose your keys, if you could just page them like a phone.
I would quite like some sort of case that lightens your load. Like the rucksacks that every character in every RPG ever has where they can carry 50 suits of full plate mail without sweating. Maybe they could put helium balloons in the lining or something.
They look cool?Kollega said:Can you explain how Mass Relay is better than classic "anywhere you want" FTL?T-Bone24 said:I'll take your FTL drive and raise you a Mass Relay! [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_relay]Kollega said:A drive for Faster-Than-Light travel.

Well, technically, your liver regenerates itself already. Also, your skin regenerates. Humans can technically regenerate.Fniff said:Regeneration? Eh, maybe. .
and they have those halfway donePayJ567 said:Bionic exoskeletons. Like the ones they have in STALKER. God damn those things are awesome.

Pffft, what are the chances?.ChaoticLegion said:Exactly, nothing could ever go wrong with that plan!Skarin said:FTL drive and Battlestars.
I want there to be twelve colonies of man. After that we shall build a race of sentient robots to take care of us. We shall live happily ever after.
Nothing could go wrong with that plan!.
I guess there was that show battlestar galactica... but the two are clearly unrelated, what're the odds.
Instantaneous galactic travel to any solar system in the galaxy? That journey would take decades even with FTL.Kollega said:Can you explain how Mass Relay is better than classic "anywhere you want" FTL?T-Bone24 said:I'll take your FTL drive and raise you a Mass Relay! I meant FTL not as it's used in Mass Effect, but FTL in general, broad sense. As in, "a technology that will allow us to travel faster than 300.000 km/sec". The faster, the better.T-Bone24 said:Instantaneous galactic travel to any solar system in the galaxy? That journey would take decades even with FTL.
