Right so here is my rant and rave for the day.
Here in Australia, like im sure everywhere else, all of a sudden teenage kids are for no particular reason bashing civilized people. Now i find this a massive problem that they walk around in groups with golfclubs and trolley poles, is this because nowa days parents cannot properly punish theyre children? Who knows.

Remember the days you grew up and it was scarier to get in trouble with a smack on the bottom or the wooden spoon than it was getting caught by police (as punishment they used to make u tell ure parents what you have done). Is it the fact parents arent aloud to smack there children that kids are getting out of control, i can understand they are trying to limit child abuse but it is going to happen unfortanetly even with anti smacking laws.

I was thinking about all this today as i was remenissing about a party i was at that got gate crashed by 40 odd 15-20 year olds with golf clubs, trolley bars and knives. I wore a 9iron golfclub to the side of the head that night, and you know what they got? a fine....... no prison no nothing, a measly fine because as they said "we were not looking for trouble" what are you doing with golfclubs at 11:00 at night walking streets and tresspassing peoples property to bash everyone? What do you think fellow escapists!

Not all teens are thugs.

Now that I've stated the obvious to avoid being personally offended...
Seriously, the problem exists here too. I have no idea why these people are like that.
I only wish that they have a special team shooting them at night.

I remember a video of a group of teenagers going around a hitting unsuspecting women in the face for no reason. Not even slapping, I'm talking treating their face like a speed bag kinda shit.

Shit like this makes me violent.

Something similar is on its way. Heard about the police now patrolling certain parts of London with SMGs and Glocks? It's only a matter of time. And as long as they don't get too trigger happy, I welcome it.

I've actually had people call me a pedophile for advocating the right to spank unruly children.
...
Okay, so I haven't ACTUALLY been called a pedophile for that, but I know someone out there has.

Weren't you yourself a teenager just a month ago? Your profile says so. And that means you're not really qualified to yell "kids these days!!".

That said, I have never understood why assault would be acceptable because it's an adult doing it towards a child. If anything, assaulting your kid is way worse than assaulting a random stranger in a bar... And yet, for some reason, some people keep advocating that the former should be allowed while the latter should be punished more severely. Like you, for example. How is you beating up your kid any better than the "hoodlums" beating up strangers? At least the strangers in the latter case have a slight possibility to defend themselves. The 10-year old can't defend himself against his 35-year old father. Violence is not okay. Period.

Fine, then the police should get the right to beat up shoplifters and speeders. That'll teach 'em.

Yeah it's horrible round the north of England, they're all stupid as hell that I've noticed, which is due to a lack of education. Whilst they were at school they did nothing which was due to the lack of discipline from their parents, because their mum's and dad's live in a council flat and drink themselves to sleep with cheap cider.

EDIT:

This isn't beating up your child, it's punishing them at a small age with a smack on the bum or hand, obviously much further is child abuse.

I think i know the party you are talking about. Yeah i'm from Australia and i know what you're talking about. Its sad that people want to get into fights not because they want to fight but because they want to beat people up, meaning its perfectly acceptable for three 25 year olds to beat up a single 17 year old with golf clubs. That is considered to be fun for allot of Australians.

I think it has a lot to do with the parents. Many just can't be bothered to spend any time with their kids or even be bothered to give a fuck. They go to work at a dead end job, get treated like shit, come home to a kid that hates them... *Shrug*

Let's face it, there's a bad grape in every bunch. Although, in this case, i believe it is the reverse

I was slapped as a child, I came to fear it, and I'll be damned if the law tells me I can't I FUCKING WILL, with that out the way.

I've had a few "hoodlums" try to start things at where I work, they are generally uneducated, with one not even having herd of "the boy who cries wolf", yes I face palmed at that moment. They've nothing better to do than it, besides they need "street cred" for their "post-code gangs" I tend to deliberately wind them up now knowing I can defend myself if they start a fight, and knowing I can defend myself and have a whole leisure center of colleges and friends who'd help in a larger confrontation as the cowards seem to back away from 1 on 1 encounters, although I have explained to a number of them that more than 1 on 1 proves nothing more than you're afraid of your opponent.

They're not lost causes, they just need something to do and to be educated.

Exactly, but around here its the 13-17 year olds thinking they run the place. My mates are as reasonable as I am but we do get in a fair few fights with them.
We have a group like that at my school to, the year tens. But its such a small school that everyone knows everyone so there are never any fights. But i worry about that generation.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a video on youtube about this, and hoodies, and image, was from a young volunteer at the RNLI, he regularly goes out on lifeboats to rescue people in trouble at sea, and as he says, he wears a hoodie, and he likes it, and it's his choice, but of course , no-one wants to hear that good people can be young and wear certain clothes.

Part of the problem is every day there's headlines saying 'feral youths prowl your streets' and 'hoodies beat up gran for 10 pence' (which obviously they don't, they do it for 'fun' not spare change. There's no newspaper sales in good news, that's just a sad fact.

Far easier to inspire a culture of fear and misery by telling the nation we're all 'going to hell in a handcart' as one fuckwit columnist likes to put it, than state that we're all far better off that we were 20,50,100 years ago, but a minority of bad people do bad things.

Btw, that's the definition of news, if hundreds of people were getting shot in the street on a daily basis, it wouldn't BE news any more, just a normal part of life, every time you read a horrifying story in the papers, remember it's a one off.

I say all that, but I still can't stand chavs, they radiate a hostility, as if they need to show how hard they are, which you just don't get from emos, skaters, goths, punks, or any other clique of teenagers. I'm know I'm being hypocritical, but I just think why dress like a violent subnormal cretin if you don't want to be seen as one. I just feel the chav culture attracts the bad ones far more than any other.

Yeah, my cousin got beat up on New Years Eve around the bridge, which was particularly bad because he was in Sydney to get surgery on his injured knee. oO

It's also bad for specific groups of people - that is, people of a colour that doesn't match that of the gang of lads (especially Indian students in Melbourne at the moment), and gay people. But, of course, the groups of thugs are all such pussies that they only beat up people who wander around by themselves, and are half their size. Further proof that these hooligans are all just gangs of boys without balls who want to feel like men to compensate for their absence of actual testicles.

I figure karma is going to get all these douchebags when they end up being prison bitches in a few years' time, while their current victims go on to be rich and successful and have sexy partners (and one day end up being the doctors or lawyers who show up when the douchebag really ends up in the shit). I love karma. ;)

It's bullcrap i say, i mean anyone that brings a golfclub swings it at someones head, stompes or kicks someone in the face or gang bashes people should be put away, they are not helping society they are making it a hard place for people to live and why should we keep our eyes watching the ground as we walk past a group of people incase they make eye contact and want to fight.

Yes i am only 20 but i have morals and was brought up knowing, if you do something bad, there will be repecussions. I will defend myself if there is absolutely no way out of it and the person is swinging at me but apart from that fighting is just to violent nowa days i mean you never know when someone comes in from behind and smashes a glass over ure temple, turning you into a vegetable or worse, dead!

I say harsher penalties for people who have intention to harm other people's health and stop being so light on them, and bring back monitered smacks to children i dont condome abuse but kids need to learn right from wrong and taking a toy away or giving them "time out" is not working now.

Most of the guys in my Year 10 group are these Hoodlums, the rest are all from Year 7 and up. What I dont get is WHY they do the shit they do. No one thinks they are "awesome" or "cool". Thank god I only have 5 days of school left, and that they are banned from the formal xD.
I swear year 10 holds a curse. Half the year goes feral. 5 days huh, no school is wicked, i got out 3 weeks ago. Yeah the whole school hates the year tens. And the year seven's try to act tough but they are so small that its funny, in fact the year tens aren't that tough either they just act it.

Funny you should say that, not to long ago a bunch of said hooligans jumped a car full of Indian students, it turned out the Indian students were attending a wrestling competition or something. So you can imagine what happened.
